We loved having so many hiking opportunities nearby, we were able to visit several waterfalls within a short drive and still have time for lunch at nearby Wolf Mountain Vineyards. Basement has a pool table and bar that is great for hanging out with family. There’s also a TV so you can put on old movies like jaws or Ferris Bueller‘s Day off. The main floor has a great vaulted room with two bedrooms and the kitchen. They’re were plenty of utensils, sauces, spices, etc. Ken was even nice not to leave us a couple coronas in the fridge in the basement. Everything was super easy checking in and out and Ken was very responsive and helpful with information about the cabin and the local area in Dahlonega. Just 2 miles away. There’s a nice 3 mile trail around the lake to get out in the wilderness and get a little exercise very close by. It’s also just a couple more miles into town. We visit in Shenanigans and nine below and we’re very happy with them. When white town for two hours we went to the barbecue place and it was great and Very quick service ##### david s. If you want to be surrounded by nature but close proximity to town this well stocked cabin is just the ticket! The owner was super friendly and helpful. Our dogs had a blast exploring the Yahoola River right out of the back door. Plenty of decks to spread out on and enjoy the sounds of the river. You get an authentic feeling of what life would have been like during the gold rush of Ga. We had plenty of space for the kids, dogs, and family. It is at the end of a large, nice neighborhood, but it certainly feels private. The small creek is nice. The owner was readily available and helpful. The Cabin was amazing, exactly what it promised. 5 minutes out of downtown, but still in the middle of nowhere! We where able to relax and enjoy nature! The dogs loved the running around the creek bed, and the adults loved relaxing on one of the many rocking chairs or porches. My daughter could not travel far due to pregnancy; so, we needed a cabin that would accept dogs. My 75 pound light golden retriever, grand dog, had a blast playing in the creek at the foot of the chalet! My adult children, son-in-law and I enjoyed our time around the fire place playing board games and eating way too much food in celebration of America's history at Thanksgiving! ##### Jennifer P. We were disappointed in the amount of dust on fans, hanging off windows and against the walls. The exterior of the property, although secluded in the wilderness, was more like a junkyard of rotted furniture. This chalet was perfect for our family! The layout is spacious and comfortable. The owner was extremely easy to communicate with and even left us gifts under the tree!
