Glad to see there is a place to stay near Calico now. Excellent deal, easy check-in/check-out, clean room, very friendly staff, and lots of parking, not much else I can ask for. It's adjacent to Penny's Diner which is open 24-hours, and then a short walk past that is an AM/PM. Across Ghost Town Rd there is a Jack-in-the-Box (where I grabbed my coffee before heading out) and Peggy Sue's 50's Diner (excellent country fried steak and mashed potatoes). Right on the other side of the freeway there is a Subway and a Dairy Queen, as well as a Pilot store. Three major gas stations all around that same intersection.

The room was very clean and big. I love that they have a 24hr dinner at the property makes it so easy to eat anytime. I was able to check in at 2am and still be able to get food without having to leave and drive to find food. The rate was great and only mins from the calico ghost town

Do note, property sits just a small way from I-15. If on the freeway side of property, trucks can be felt in beds/shower. It’s not super annoying but should note. Its exterior is a bit run down, rooms lg enough/clean, fridge/microwave, ice machine spotty, staff friendly. There are gas stations & a couple food spots- but not vibrant per se. It’s not luxury, but is convenient & often priced well.

Everyone was really friendly and helpful. I think the motel recently got a glow-up- the room was fresh and clean, there were a microwave and refrigerator, and very comfortable beds. We also made use of the washer and dryer available in the motel. It was just what we needed for a good nights sleep to be ready to travel the next day. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Oh, and don’t miss out on visiting the diner next door! They were super friendly, and the food was homemade and delicious.
