The best area to stay in Dadia is directly within the village of Dadia itself, particularly near the Dadia-Lefkimi-Soufli Forest National Park entrance.

This small, quiet village serves as the primary base for exploring the surrounding natural park. It's compact and easy to navigate on foot, with a few tavernas and guesthouses clustered around the main square and along the road leading to the park's information centre. The area is known for its unspoiled natural beauty and the opportunity to observe rare birds of prey.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will find Dadia ideal. The focus here is on nature and relaxation, with opportunities for gentle hikes and birdwatching. Accommodation options are typically smaller, family-run guesthouses, offering a personal touch.

Families with older children who appreciate nature will also enjoy staying in Dadia. The proximity to the National Park means easy access to educational trails and the chance to spot wildlife, making it a memorable experience.

The best time to visit Dadia is during the spring (April to early June) and autumn (September to October) months.

These periods offer pleasant weather, making outdoor activities like hiking and wildlife observation particularly enjoyable. The temperatures are mild, and the natural landscape is at its most appealing, with spring bringing wildflowers and autumn showcasing rich colours.

For those keen on birdwatching, spring is especially good as it coincides with the migration season, offering the best opportunities to see a wide variety of species in the Dadia-Lefkimi-Soufli Forest National Park. The park is a significant European raptor refuge, and many birds of prey are most active during these months.

While summer (July and August) is also an option, it can be quite hot, which might make extensive outdoor exploration less comfortable.
