As we entered the room we thought it may be the bathroom but it was the bedroom itself. Still no idea why and the smell was over powering but on arriving at 1am there was no other option than to open the windows wide. And then the gongs in the temple opposite (and further around) started at 4am. I am told it is lucky but the combination of open windows, that smell of damp and the noise did not make an ideal stay. Even though vietnamese know little English， they prefer using google translate to communicate with us. Near Han market, there is a vistor information centre for car booking and travel tours.
