The staff is very nice and will go out of their ways to understand us and our pour Spanish. I recommend strongly if you want to be close to everything and don’t want to pay to much. The only downside is it’s noisy outside at night because of the traffic, but I really didn’t mind. It’s an old but well maintained building with lots of character. If you want down-to-earth, basic necessities, this inn has them. Good location, safe, clean, extremely helpful staff and a modest breakfast is included. Its convenient location in the downtown means that there is a fair bit of traffic noise but it didn’t really affect our sleep or experience. From the moment we arrived late at night (around 11 PM), it was clear that nothing matched what we had booked. The room we were given: • Was not the one we reserved, • Was dirty, with no towels provided, • Freezing cold, with heating charged at an extra $5 (!), • And the bathroom was in a dreadful, almost unusable condition. We immediately went to the front desk. The staff — to be fair, polite — admitted they didn’t have the room we had booked, and simply offered us the option to leave. At midnight, that is absolutely unacceptable. With no other option, we were forced to stay the night in completely unacceptable conditions. We checked out the next morning and booked another hotel — and the contrast was night and day: professional staff, clean rooms, excellent service. No regrets at all about leaving. To clarify: • Expedia refunded the first night due to the serious issues. • The hotel itself refunded the second night — which says a lot. The breakfast was a joke, with practically nothing to eat. The hotel is old, poorly maintained, dirty, and should not be accepting guests in this condition. ⸻ 🚫 Bottom line: avoid this place at all costs. I’ve stayed in many hotels, and this was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. The photos and online descriptions are misleading. This property looks more like a hostel not a hotel. The bedrooms are small and have basic amenities.
