We really liked the Historical Inn. It was clean and basic. Dinner was excellent . Breakfast time was busy and while excellent choices, lots of coffee, they were busy and the sausage and eggs were cold when served. We knew there would be steps to our room and we managed but it would have been so much better if someone had offered to help with our luggage. All that said we enjoyed our stay.

I stayed in the hotel section-not the historic building. I realized that the historic rooms only have a claw foot tub and you must share a public shower. I wasn't up for that on this trip, but maybe in the future. My stay in the hotel was fine. The room was basic and clean. It had a comfortable feel to it.

I stayed in the hotel--not the historic building. The room was clean. It felt like being in grandma's house. I don't say that to be critical. It had a bit of a cozy feel with the quilt type bed covering. It was great to have a restaurant on the premises. The food was great. I could walk to a bank, convenience store for hot tea. One night the siren at the Rescue Squad next door went off, but it wasn't bad. I'd stay here again.

Beautiful historic Inn, with period-correct furnished sitting areas, rockers on large front porch, and plenty of history to learn. Restaurant far exceeds expectations - there is simply no need to look elsewhere. Totally comfortable, quiet location. This place is what you are looking for if you wanna relax

Wonderful inn and restaurant, with clean, quiet motel rooms in a building across the street. It's right in the middle of Grantsville. Easy parking near doors. Staff were wonderful, and it is cool to see the old photos of the hotel from one hundred years ago.
