A yurt in the trees. Close to Portland but close to nature. Treeyurt Maine
Glamping in the Treeyurt is pretty magical. Relax and unwind to the sound of owls at night and the crackle of the wood stove. Fully insulated and heated this yurt supplies year round comfort for guests. Located on the back of the property, the Treeyurt is a glamping spot with electricity, a kitchenette with a coffee maker toaster oven cook top mini fridge and plenty of pots and pans and cooking utensils and silverware and plates bowls and mugs. There is a queen bed and a day bed fully supplied with comfy bedding pillows sheets and blankets. The outhouse has a dry flush toilet and there is an outdoor sink and outdoor shower with running water in the warmer months typically May 15 through October 15. Please BYOT. Bring your own towel. We do supply water in the colder months as well. The fire pit and outdoor area are framed by timed string lights and We sell campfire wood for $5 per bundle and hope to supply for the whole season but check in to make sure we have enough for your stay. Gathering of downed sticks and branches is welcomed but please do not cut trees or branches down. The white bags of wood are for inside use only and are used for heating during the colder months. The wood stove and monitor heater work nicely in combination to keep the yurt cozy and warm during the winter. For summer time the Velcro windows open as well as the dome and a floor fan is provided. The driveway is the only shared part of the property so even though the main house is about 200 feet from the yurt, it feels private. The yurt path is located on the right side of the driveway and winds back to the yurt through the woods.

I had a wonderful stay at the yurt! Bed was very comfy, heater worked great (didn’t even need the wood birding stove in October,) and the overall vibe was just so relaxing. Thank you!
We enjoyed our time at this unique place. We were able to stay dry inside and play cards games, through one of the nights. We got to enjoy eating meals on the deck and looking at nature too. Our little toddler thought the hammock was awesome and we enjoyed the privacy from the neighbors. This is a perfect place to getaway to, on a weekend!
Such a lovely secluded spot. Elevated yurt with sparkling string lights. Felt like I was in a fairy tale! Comfy beds, working kitchenette and outdoor sink. Pristine outhouse! Fire pit with comfy chairs and a hammock!
Loved it!
The yurt was private yet not scary-secluded up in the trees. Our little treehouse! It was plenty spacious and stayed warm enough despite brisk October nights. There was sufficient electricity outlets but not much in the way of cell phone service, so if that matters to you, then make a plan, or plan to enjoy nature with less connectivity like we did. The outside shower was pleasant and the outhouse surprisingly not uncomfortable. Communication with host was easy and quick and I can’t wait to return to our treehouse!!!
What a great place to stay! Amy was responsive and helpful, and the yurt was beautiful and well set up. It had everything we needed, a perfect spot to spend a weekend with very easy access to Portland. The only downside was that car traffic on the nearby road was more audible than expected.
The property was so relaxing! Amy was a wonderful host and I’d highly recommend to anybody. We stayed during a winter storm but that made the experience even better!
The treeyurt was a fun and memorable experience. Everything was as advertised and the host makes everything easy, accessible, and welcoming. We would definitely return!
The yurt was simply amazing! My boyfriend, pup and I had a great stay! Amy was quick to respond and had all the necessities on site that were needed. The outdoor bathroom, sink and shower were so clean and easy to use! We wish we would’ve had more time. Will definitely be staying again.
Very well appointed yurt, quite impressive from the insulation and great heat (very easy to operate and cozy to sit in front of woodstove) to a novel compost toilet, sensor lighting all around, so no-one is in the dark when getting up in middle of night, beautiful deck, sink and woodsy surroundings. Not so out of civilization to feel barren - close enough to road with a lovely path in (and a very efficient & easy to haul heavy loads wagon to haul stuff in with).
