Walkout. Large patio and 'DogTrot'. Perfect for family reunions, weddings or just a relaxing week, month or summer away from it all. This is our home but we live out of state for work making this great place available.

Dream come true venue for our small wedding. Clay and Angi were incredibly organized and communicative, which made things easier to manage with the guests coming and going. The house is GORGEOUS. GOALS. Every room has a sky-high ceilings, there is tons of space in and outside to spread out, and the fact that it’s right on the water need I say more? We couldn’t recommend this spot more for your next big family reunion, event, or get together.

All I have to say is WOW Clay is so easy to reach out to and have a conversation with. His property is stunning clean, and in a great area with plenty of things to do on the property or off the property. Very thankful for the stay. Will be planning to stay here again for future golf trips!!!

Excellent winter holiday trip with the family! We arrived from the Twin Cities in under 3 hours and really enjoyed the scenic trip through the Lake Mille Lacs area. The house was beautiful with so many sections we felt like it was three homes in one, plenty of space to spread out and big enough kitchen and main living area to all come together. The host gave us all the details and communication we needed to make sure our stay was top notch. Fully stocked kitchens with all the essential dishes, pots and pans, utensils and more made it our home away from home- we plan to return and we highly recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing experience!

Cross lake getaway

Spectacular home located in Cross lake on the water with Bald Eagles flying overhead. Scenic ,quiet ,close to town. Perfect home for a family or big group. Exceeded our expectations!

Amazing Wedding Weekend on Ox Lake

This residence was a great place to stay with friends and family. Clay was very helpful and accommodating with us having our small wedding (30 people) here. It was the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding. Everything about the house was clean and taken care of. Just remember to bring your own pool cues!

Family vacation

We had a wonderful week. The house was perfect for a large group of people. The little kids particularly loved the sandy beach and shallow clear water next to the beach. Fishing off the dock was good also. We had no issues or problems of any kind.

Perfect Family Christmas!

We loved our stay here so much. The home has such a unique layout that worked so well for multiple families. Spaces to be all together, but spaces for people to be on their own if they wanted. The kids had an absolute blast running around using their new walkie talkies :) such a gorgeous property- we hope to be back next year! Thank you!!

Three Generation Dream House

What a wonderful stay we had at this property with our adult children and grandchildren. The home and property were even better than advertised. The lake view is breathtaking from so many parts of the house and property. Easily facilitates comfortable time together and time for personal reflection. Our grandchildren loved the beach. HIGHLY recommend. We can't wait to stay again. .

Beautiful Home

A beautiful home in a lovely location full of wonderful amenities. We really enjoyed time both inside and outside the house. Evening fires on the dogtrot were our favorite. Clay and Angi were great hosts and easy to communicate with. They made us feel right at home! The beds were super comfy, and there was room enough for everyone without feeling like we were on top of each other. We would love to come back again, as the value for a stay of this caliber was excellent!

Labor Day trip with friends

We’ve be going on Labor Day vacations, between 4 families (11 kids total), for the last 3 years. This house more than accommodated a group of our size and the amenities were perfect for young families. Great outdoor space, big yard, and a sandy beach. Craig and Angi were easy to work with and very accessible. We’d definitely go back!

Our family with teenage children absolutely LOVED our stay here. The home is beautiful with great views. The home had everything we needed for kitchen utensils and appliances. The lake was perfect and the kids caught a lot of fish. Grocery stores were close and other convenient restaurants nearby. The owner is very thorough and responds quickly if there were any questions. Our kids asked to return to this property. Highly highly recommend.

What an absolutely fabulous place. Truly a place that overdelivers in all aspects!We held a small 25 person wedding here and it was absolutely incredible.Communication: Clay will provide more information than you could possibly need. You will likely not need to reach out for anything.Location: Private road. Private lake. Long secluded driveway. It is incredibly quiet and peaceful. You are completely secluded, and yet only 3 mins away from crosslake where they have a grocery store, shops, gas, and places to eat. 38 min drive from Brainerd.Sleeping: There are actually 8 bedrooms, 5 of which are on a separate wing away from main gathering areas. They have places set up for kids to play, and all bedrooms are spacious. The master bedroom is stunning.Amenities: Almost everything in this house is high quality. Wolf appliances for cooking, double oven and large stove for cooking for large groups. Extremely spacious. We had 25 people and nobody felt crowded.Outdoor: They have a massive back yard, patio area, and sandy beach with a dock. The beach into water area is large and very gradual. Great for kids or water activities. Perhaps the best part about this home is the covered walkway patio area. This area is huge and directly connected to the kitchen, has patio furniture and a fireplace. An absolutely wonderful place should you need to pivot if weather turns bad. I have stayed at many VRBO properties and this one ranks at the top of the list!

Just a perfect weekend.

5 couples who have been longtime friends. We have been going to VRBOs for over 23 for a fall getaway and this is one of the nicest. I think we spent the most time in the open area between the house and the garage. It’s covered, has a huge fireplace and a beautiful view of the lake. Everything is meticulously spelled out before we arrived and all our needs were met. The owners were great to work with. Hopefully they will let us come back for many years.

Beautiful property

Beautiful lakeshore property with great views of the lake from many of the rooms and bedrooms. Our family of 14 people had plenty of space to spread out. Two primary suites, bunk room for the grandkids and 3 other bedrooms provided each couple some private space and quiet sleeping. Kitchen well appointed with amazing prep and serving countertops. Lower level hangout space large enough for our group. Only tricky thing was locking/ unlocking the entry doors— had to adjust handle while locking. Enjoyed spacious parking and great curb appeal.Enjoyed the lakeside yard and the hill down to the lake. Outdoor fire pit and hot tub on the listing were not working although that did not affect our plans. .

Beautiful spot for a family reunion

It should be noted that if renting through VRBO, Clay will still have you sign a lease and later (days before arrival) also sign a 12-page operations document. There are some rules not made clear on the VRBO listing when booking that would have been nice to know ahead of time, including bringing all of your disposable items (toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, etc.). We didn't mind, but would have liked to know ahead of booking, and felt the operations document could be made available before booking or key items could have been listed in the VRBO description. All that being said, we did have a wonderful stay at this house - the rooms were big, everyone had a bed, it was very clean, and the views and property were gorgeous. It's a trip we will all remember forever - thank you to Clay and Angi!
