"rustico" cottage "Cascina Ulivi", surrounded by trees. Above Cremia, in the hamlet Costa, in a quiet, elevated position on a slope, 3 km from the lake, in the countryside. Private: property 1'000 m2, terraced garden with trees. 150 m long bumpy, steep, narrow motor access to the house (150 m via unmade road, ramp). Stepped path (3 steps) to the house. Parking at 150 m. Grocery 1.2 km, supermarket 5 km, restaurant 3 km, bar 1.3 km, bus stop 3 km, pebble beach "San Vito" 3.3 km. Marina 3.5 km. Nearby attractions: Museo della Barca Lariana, Chiesa di S.Martino, Menaggio, Bellagio, Varenna. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Lago di Mezzola, Lago di Lugano. Hiking paths: Sasso di Musso- Chiesa Santa Eufemia, Chiesa San Domenico-Cremia, Rifugio La Canua. Please note: car recommended. Animals in the neighbourhood. Access via a steep concrete ramp (approx. 180m wide) plus a short gravel path, not suitable for low-suspension cars. Small cars can be parked 20m from the house while the others about 150m.
3-room house 50 m2 on 2 levels. Simple and rustic furnishings: 1 room with 1 double bed. Shower/bidet/WC. Upper floor: (spiral staircase) small living/sleeping room with 1 x 2 bunk beds, TV. Kitchen-/living room (oven, 4 gas rings) with open-hearth fireplace and dining table. Exit to the veranda. Solar power. Natural stone floors. Terrace. Terrace furniture, deck chairs (2). Very beautiful panoramic view of the lake and the mountains. Please note: non-smokers only. Maximum 3 pets/ dogs allowed. Wood stove in the corridor of the raised ground floor. The refrigerator works on gas. A solar panel supplies the house with electricity (voltage 12 V), the quantity is limited.

Abgelegenes Häuschen mit super Aussicht
Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und der Vermieter hat unser Gepäck mit seinem (kurzen) Auto zum Haus hochgefahren. (Der Zugang ist wirklich sehr steil und der Übergang zur Straße ist nur mit hochbeinigen oder kurzen Fahrzeugen zu schaffen.) Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, was man so braucht. Stromversorgung per Solar war für Beleuchtung und Handyaufladen mehr als ausreichend, obwohl die ersten Tage keine Sonne schien. Gaskühlschrank hat bestens funktioniert. Betten sind bequem und auch die Couch lädt zum Rumlümmeln ein. (Im"Wohnzimmer" könnten die Plexiglasscheiben mal erneuert werden, die sind mittlerweile ziemlich vergilbt.) Küche und Bad sind gut ausgestattet, hübsch und zweckmäßig. Mit den Hunden sind wir nur außenrum ins jeweils andere Stockwerk gelangt, da die Wendeltreppe nur für schmale Menschen mit Kopfeinziehen geeignet ist. Der Olivenhain ist steil und den Garten haben wir auch nicht genutzt, aber auf der Terrasse ließ es sich gut aushalten. Wandermöglichkeiten gibt es genügend in der näheren und weiteren Umgebung. Auch bei Regenwetter haben wir Auslauf an der Uferpromenade, in Cremia und auf der stillgelegten Uferstraße gefunden. Alles in Allem war es ein sehr entspannter, erholsamer Aufenthalt mit einigen schönen Wanderungen. Leider war unser Italienisch nicht gut genug, um uns mit unserem wirklich netten Vermieter richtig zu unterhalten, trotzdem haben wir uns über die Spezial-Zucchini sehr gefreut, die er uns geschenkt hat! Schön, aber etwas kompliziert mit Kindern
Die Lage und die Aussicht sind hervorragend! Das Grundstück ist sehr ruhig und die Ausstattung simpel aber ausreichend. Das eine direkte Zufahrt zum Haus nur mit genügend Bodenfreiheit oder einem passenden Kleinwagen möglich ist war leider nicht klar. Mit Kindern war das dann leider nicht so ideal. Und die Spindeltreppe im Haus hat ein recht luftiges Geländer, da kann ein Baby leider locker durchrutschen. Mussten wir selber noch mit Decken verschließen. Die Nebenkosten sind nicht zu unterschätzen. Der Wintergarten ist leider nicht mehr im besten Zustand (im Bild rechts), die Kunststoffverglasung ist nicht mehr richtig durchsichtig. Die Organisation innen und außen (Terrasse, Wohnen und Schlafen) ist nicht schlüssig, aber akzeptabel. Aber insgesamt ein schönes Haus!
