We had a wonderful relaxing week at Vale da Lapa in April with our two young sons. The villa was spacious, well equipped and cleaned every day if you want it to be. The swimming pools are great and the boys loved them. It was quite quiet the week we were there, so we often had them to ourselves. We also used the spa facilities and these were great too. The Salema Beach Village ishigh end with top spec properties. The properties are very well built and tastefully (yet simply) decorated. We stayed in Townhouse No.111 which is a 3-bedroom and at the back of the complex, overlooking the pool. Once the pool bar opens it will be next door to this property. Cleaners come in every day (the time varied from 10am on one day to around 5pm on most days) which meant the townhouse was kept spotless. The pool and surrounding area is also spotless as...

Suitable for small family units with young children. Sounds snooty to say but no riffraff here- everyone is well turned out in tailored shorts/summer dresses etc. Not many tats, football tops, or larger drinking 'here mate' riffraff. The parents appear middle class hard working- podgy dads with trophy wives and the kids are called Emily, charlotte, Henry, Sebastian etc. (I laughed at the pool). Was costly, but then you pay for quality and this facility has all you need for a great family holiday...

We loved this resort. Set in lovely grounds with excellent facilities, we stayed in a two bedroom apartment which was immaculately clean and had everything you needed. The resort was very quiet and most mornings we had sole use of the gym. We opted for the breakfast buffet which provided an excellent spread of food with both hot and cold options. We would definitely go back again in the future

A very pleasant stay at this hotel. Beautiful location, surrounded by the nature, piece and quiet. Our room was really spacious with 2 bathrooms, a big bed with tv, living room with another tv and a kitchen area. The staff was very friendly and always helpful, rooms were cleaned everyday. Overall it's a modern hotel that I truly recommend.

We stayed as a party of 3 in two lateral sea view double rooms. Delightfully, there was no charge for under-occupation. Each room was spacious and well equipped with modern furnishings and tv and a sparklingly clean bathroom. The rooms were attentively serviced with cleaning and towel change each day.
