The hotel is nice but its location is far away from the city of Salerno. It will probably be best if you have your own car (which I didn't have) or you can use the bus. There are 2 buses (one public and one private) that stop just at the hotel but the frequency and promptness may be a problem.

Honestly, I booked this hotel for the cheap price and locality to my relatives. I didn't expect to love it, but I did. Pocket Guide: Costa d'Amalfi Costa d'Amalfi Hotels

Costa D’Amalfi Airport, also known as Salerno-Pontecagnano, sees much less traffic than Naples International Airport and is a smaller, quieter option for travelling into Campania. Modern and intimate, the airport brings you close to the historic town of Salerno and within 30 miles of sights such as the Amalfi Coast and the buried town of Pompeii.

Fly to and from Costa D'Amalfi Airport

Until 2007, the airstrip was used for private jets and local police and fire brigade. Services. Since then, however, the airport has been serviced by different airlines and is used today as a base for Air Vallée, who operate 100-seater flights around Europe and Italy. Fly to and from islands such as Corfu and Ibiza or extend your holiday in Italy by stopping in Milan and Verona.

In preparation for opening for public use, the airport was equipped with visitor facilities. Grab a bite to eat from the vending machines or enjoy a drink at the bar. Let your children play in a nursery while you wait for your flight. A VIP lounge is available after going through security for those wanting to travel in style.

Rent a car from a booth next to the main entrance for convenient travel to your next destination. A free car park is also available for those driving here, and buses running between Salerno and Battipaglia stop by the airport.

Hotels near Salerno Costa D'Amalfi Airport

Although Costa D’Amalfi doesn’t have any accommodation within the airport itself, quality hotels are just a short journey away. You can book good value rooms in the charming town of Battipaglia, which has a hilltop castle and train connections to the rest of the region.

Alternatively, find a room on a quiet stretch of Campania’s coastline to the south of Salerno. In this less touristy corner of Italy, away from the fame and expense of Amalfi, you can find cheap places to stay dotted along the coastline and just moments away from the airport. Drive southwest of the regional airport to find both low-cost accommodation and luxurious resorts, all overlooking the warm waters of the Mediterranean.

Explore Salerno

Once you’ve arrived in Costa D’Amalfi Airport, you’re just a short journey from the fascinating town of Salerno. Wander around its Centro Storico to see a wide array of Medieval architecture. Salerno’s restaurants are ideal places to try out Italy’s famous cuisine. Taste food straight from the farms of Campania or seafood dishes fresh from the Mediterranean.

Head to the Mountains

Salerno-Pontecagnano Airport is sandwiched in between the sandy beaches of the coast and the mountains of Monti Picentini Regional Park. Drive out to this stunning swath of wilderness in inland Campania to discover a little-seen side of the region. Hike along gentle trails through forested hills to find hidden waterfalls and accessible peaks.

Although Costa D’Amalfi Airport gives you easy access to some of the sightseeing highlights around Naples, this small and personal airport also puts you within easy reach of some of the region’s quieter, lesser-known destinations.
