"My only 2 issues were the fact that the villas don't have elevators(only one apparently). Having to walk up and down 63 stairs multiple times a day was very hard on the old knees(plus we had 3 seniors with us which was wven harder on them). And the second was the wifi. It was TERRIBLE. If you are traveling with a group it is difficult. It kept kicking us off the network every hour so we couldn't find our group a lot of times. It was incredibly frustrating. Other than that, property was beautiful, food was great, drinks were great and the weather could not have been better. "

"The staff are second to none. I wish I could have taken the time to record the name of every person I interacted with, but a few standouts: Roberto, my Reserve concierge; Carlos, the pool concierge; and another pool attendant, I believe his name was Enrique. Roberto brought me to my room, provided me with his personal cell number, maintained contact with me throughout my stay, and ensured my group and I had cabanas reserved at the pool. The staff made my stay five-star. My Reserve swim-up was clean, and I liked the private pool. I do wish the deck area of the swim-up suites were a little more private. The rooms are quiet, and I was never disturbed by other guests. The turndown service was something else I enjoyed, after a long day, coming back to my room having been tidied. I LOVED the beach cabanas - nothing like swimming in the Sea of Cortez. The concierge staff at the beach was also amazing. Some things that could have been better: I didn't care for most of the food. I came prepared to try new things, but I found 98% of the food lacking flavor and it appeared dry and mostly unappealing. I'm sure it's difficult to prepare the amount of food required for the resort, and it was not a deal breaker. The beach should be combed better - there are small strips of plastic everywhere, I assume from weddings, etc. held on the beach and the wildlife suffers because humans don't pick up their trash. Overall, my stay was wonderful and I would return to this resort."

"Overall our stay at the Krystal Grand was wonderful! PROS: --Altitude room and view were beautiful, bed was comfortable, water and beverages were restocked regularly. Cleaning staff was perfect! --Our butler Joel was AMAZING! So helpful and responsive. Thank you Joel! --Kamp Krystal kids club! Tania was WONDERFUL! My daughter loved her and begged to go to kids club. Thank you Tania! --Miguel the photographer on site! We had an impromptu shoot and it was amazing! Thank you Miguel! --The pools were wonderful, a little cold for me, but nice and clean --Drinks were wonderful and we never had to wait long for one --Breakfast at The Grill (altitude Only). Food and service were phenominal (our morning waiter was the best!) --Pool chairs. Lots of complaints about this but we found it just fine if you got out there by 8 am or so and grabbed some chairs. No biggie and nothing you don't see at other resorts. CONS: --Pullout couch in the room was awful. Even my six year old couldn't sleep with the metal bar in her back --Rooftop bar (Altitude Only) was just a bar with no sun protection and a two foot deep "pool" --Food just wasn't great. I wouldn't recommend the buffett for any meals, it was rough. Italian was very mediocre. I would have loved to try the Japanese and Mexican places but they did not offer a kids menu and wouldn't bring a kids meal from another part of the resort. For a family place, that is just bizarre. We were forced to eat all meals at The Grill."

"Good location. Walkable to local dining and shops. Nice room, however, we got eaten alive by bugs-assuming mosquitoes. Very expensive for alcoholic beverages and food. Nice pools, beautiful resort, but not all inclusive. Pro tip-stop at Walmart first, but your beer, wine, and spirits. Hotel charges $30 for a glass of wine and/or mixed drinks. "
