"My review is difficult as we arrived to be told that a computer malfunction meant that our 2 rooms were occupied. We agreed to move to another hostel, it was good. They should have notified us before. Also payment has been taken out and paid back 4 times now, incurringinternational currency charges each time. I have requested an explanation, but no answer so far. They need to work on their communication."

This home is very spacious and heaters and fireplace made it cozy on cool March evenings. The area is beautiful and quiet in spite of the construction nearby. "The location is outstanding with expansive views to the beautiful beach/harbor. The hotel is in an interesting historical district. We had dinner at the hotel to take advantage of the setting. The food and service was first class, easily the best dinner we had during our two weeks in Portugal. All of the staff were gracious and helpful. The rooms were nicely finished in period decor. "
