The location for us was too far from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge; a detail that was missing from the listing. If you want remote then this is great. Cozy cabin far from the crowds, but close enough to access everything that we wanted to do, especially in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The property was just enough out of town that you felt secluded, but close enough that you could enjoy all the sites. We did see a small black bear maybe 100 ft from the cabin and had a small racoon visit one night. The birds and sounds all around us were so peaceful. The cabin was clean and cozy. First off let me say that Jane is so nice and accommodating! Her taste and decorations give the perfect setting to any Smoky Mountain getaway! Quiet area, clean cabin and comfortable beds. Nicely decorated in seasonal decor and bear themed. Owner is friendly and available by phone, text or in-person to answer questions. Lots of places to go hiking or fly fishing in the area. A short drive to Gatlinburg and other similar places for families. The Smoky Mountains National Park has 2 trails dogs are allowed on. The cabin was amazing and it is soooo close to the best part of the great Smokey mountains national park! The gatlinburg side is way too busy but the Cosby side is peaceful and quiet and incredible. But also only 50ish minutes from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg! The location is really the best of both worlds. The cabin is beautiful and clean.
