Immerse yourself in the Italian countryside and culture!
My husband and I cannot say enough about this villa! The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating. It is about a 30 minute drive from main city centre in Cortona. The nearest train station we used was Camucia. We would recommend renting a car to have to drive around the area and surrounding areas. Otherwise, it will be hard to get around. We would drive our car and park it at the Camucia train station and then take the train to Florence and Rome, etc.
It was amazing staying in this villa surrounded by so much history. We learned a lot about the area by taking a walk and reading the historical marker. It had plenty of space for 2 people. We enjoyed reading and writing on the couch in the little nook with the windows open and the breeze flowing in. The unit was fully equipped with a coffee maker, refrigerator, freezer, stove, etc. We used the washing machine a few steps away. The pool was cool and refreshing. The first floor bathroom was quite small, but still usable. There was plenty of room in the upstairs bathroom. The wifi worked well!
Margherita, Serena and their family are wonderful as well! The ristorante is superb. We really enjoyed the cuisine - so fresh and delicious. They really welcomed us into their family. Bagnolo is a small and quaint village - away from all the hustle and bustle of the larger cities.
If you want to experience the untouched and natural beauty of the area while only being a few minutes away from everything, this is your place! It is tucked away in the mountains with incredible views. We will definitely be back. We enjoyed our stay and most of all, Villa Margherita Tre is a hidden gem!
