Traveled with kids, nice clean pool. Clean rooms, a/c and cable worked well, big fridge in room. Walking distance to food, starbucks, gas station etc, Tesla super charger (other brands can use it too), 3 min drive to main st, 5 min to Suny Cortland. Pillows could be comfier but no complaints for a weekend stay.

The moral dilemma of 'rating inflation'. For value options, this is a 5-star. Do not misread this - this HomeTowne Studios is a solid option. I would stay here again, if back in Cortland. I've never stayed at another HomeTowne location, and have no basis for comparison there, but do typically stay at Hampton Inns and Fairfield Inns, or nicer. This is a very good, no-frills, great price option, and they execute well on that experience. Really, my only gripe is that there aren't any elevators in this two-story hotel ... not sure how many rooms are on the 1st floor. That, and the hallways are long. So, this is not a wheel-chair/walker option, or if you're carting a ton of luggage. My stay affirms the AI summary - spacious rooms, full-size fridge, clean, and friendly professional staff. Not sure what brand this was before it was a HomeTowne, but it feels like a 're-boot', and they did good. No frills, but nicely executed. My room was in great shape, good fixtures, clean, comfortable bed - simple, and solid. Ample storage for clothing and stuff. You know, I prefer the tile floors to some grungy carpet that can never get cleaned. While it is an extended-stay styled option, and does have a full-sized fridge [and mine worked well], it only offers a very small microwave for heating food. Also, the table doubles as a work-surface / desk, and is very small. Even so, it is a solid option with everything in my experience to have been in good shape and good working order.

The room was clean. The sink in the kitchenette was plugged and the microwave buttons didnt work. Our room faced the pool so you would smell strong chlorine smell. Its was ok for us not staying long.
