We went to Port A for a family wedding. My two sisters and their families all stayed in different houses close by. This was by far the best one! It is clean, bright with a view of the water and super close to the beach. Our beach house is designed to be family friendly, with fully fenced backyard, child gate on the main second floor deck, baby gate for the inside, and a pack and play crib. The kitchen is very well stocked with quality dishes and cookware. There’s everything you need - crockpot, blender, drip coffee maker, Keurig, toaster, etc. The drawers contain all the essentials and extras, all the way down to shrimp deveiners. Towels, linens and washer/dryer are provided to make your stay easy and care free. Bedrooms are private, spacious and comfortable. All three King beds have been recently purchased, and all baths have new Silestone or granite countertops and new fixtures. • Top Floor Master – King Bed, ensuite bath • 2nd Floor Master – King Bed, shared bath • 2nd Floor Bunk Room – Four bunk beds for children, shared bath • Ground Floor Suite – King Bedroom, den, kitchen, private bath The ground floor suite is separate from the top two floors and allows great privacy and quiet. The suite has its own private entrance and kitchen so the occupants can avoid disturbing the rest of the house – or sleep late if they choose! There is plenty of parking for cars and trucks in the driveway plus shade under the house on the ground level. There are chairs under the house and a picnic table in the shaded garden. A second backyard stairway leads directly from the kitchen to the grilling area. Enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails in the fully fenced and landscaped backyard surrounded by tropical landscaping. Kids can wash off the beach sand in warm water with our backyard waterfall shower. The Sand Point beach neighborhood is the best location in Port A - less than five minutes away from the restaurants and shops. We are right around the corner from The Beach Lodge, Port A's only beach bar and restaurant where you can enjoy a burger, pizza or beverage while watching the ocean waves! And we are the prime location for Sand Fest which takes place in April right next to our private boardwalk. Port Aransas is an island town of 3000 residents where visitors can buy shrimp right off the boats or catch their own fish and have them cooked at local restaurants. Bicycles, scooters, and golf carts abound. And here you can still drive to your favorite spot on the beach and share a sunset cocktail from your own cooler. It's the ultimate for water sports, casual attire, excellent cuisine and relaxation. Mustang Island is an 18-mile-long barrier island with 300 species of native birds and is bordered by the Gulf of Mexico on the east and south, and Corpus Christi Bay on the north and west. The beaches are broad and walkable, with lovely sand and gentle surf. The grandparents appreciated having their own apartment downstairs with a full kitchen. We loved walking to the pool and hot tub and the beach every day. I like that there is no street parking in the neighborhood, but the 4 spots in the driveway allow each car in and out access at any time. The owners were responsive when we needed them. We enjoy cooking, and the kitchen was well equipped. A/C worked great, location near the beach awesome for impromptu walks and quick trips back and forth with kids. A beachy vibe and very clean. One caveat- no pantry available so we had to be creative with groceries, but counter space was good. We’ll have sweet memories of our 3 generations’ stay at Sand Point Joint. ##### John D. The owner was very responsive when we had an issue with the ice maker and lock battery. The whole family was happy with the excellent king beds and bunk beds. My only suggestion would be to change out the outside wooden chairs because the nails were beginning to rust from the sea air. The neighborhood pool was just down the street. ##### Maridel H. The weather wasn't great, but we still went to the beach and played in the sand and surf. The beach was an easy walk and when we didn't want to carry all the stuff with us, you could drive and part right at the ocean. The local restaurants were wonderful and shopping, drug stores, etc ... everything is close by. The owner, Tami was available for question both before and during our stay. We were a little concerned about spending spring break in Port A because we heard it was a big party scene with lots of drinking on the beach, like South Padre, but we decided to risk it. We had a great time! The house was perfect for our two families. We didn’t need to use our vehicles during our stay. The beach is an easy walk along a boardwalk and was not overly crowded in the area. We had plenty of space and it was very family friendly. Some of our group walked a couple miles south on the beach and did encounter the crazy spring break crowd, but it was so far removed from us that we were not bothered by it. The house is fantastic and well-stocked and in a perfect location for the beach. We would definitely stay again. ##### Nathan R.
