Recently stayed with my three teenage sons and one of their friends at this location. Four bedrooms and a large living room gave us a room to spread out. Really cool back dock to hang out or watch a few fish under the lights. I had a boat which I parked in the driveway. As long as the street is not too crowded parking was easy. This is a great condo in a great location. I would definitely stay there again.

Padre Escapes customer service was excellent. They were highly communicative with us and kept us up to date about the check in process and ETA of when the property will be ready for check in. You do not get check in instructions until the property is ready from the cleaners. Upon arrival, the property was clean but it is clear some items need maintenance. (Cracks in ceiling, cracks in crown molding, etc). This is all very minor and did not affect our stay whatsoever. They provide you with starter items until you can go to grocery store so you will want to be prepared to buy your own dish soap, laundry detergent, dishwasher tabs, etc. We really appreciated the number of towels provided. The sign on the door says no pets, but we paid a pet fee, so that could be confusing to some. There is a fishing light on the back deck which we put to use and had a great time in the evening while watching beautiful sunsets. Overall the neighborhood is quiet, the beds are super soft with plenty of pillows, and we had a wonderful time. We will absolutely consider you again in the future!!

Nice property, excellent property management!

My family stayed here between Christmas and New Year's Eve. It was a very relaxing stay. The area is a short distance down the road from Whitecap Beach. The furniture accommodations were a little worn and dated, but it definitely did the job for my family. There is plenty are sleeping accommodations, enough for at least 10 or 11 people. Plenty of cookware and utensils provided, great for my family who cooks all of the time vs. eating out at restaurants. There are no basic seasonings, such as salt/pepper that some short-term rentals include. For those with dogs, there is a dog park nearby in close walking distance. The downside is that the dog park is right next to a water treatment facility, and the smell is not great. Padre Ecapes was super responsive and has the best customer care of any short-term rental owner/property manager that I've ever experienced! All in all, we enjoyed our stay!

In saying this we are wanting to let you folks know there were a couple small issues we are wanting to see if we can get looked at before our return. We are planning to return almost every month through September. Again everything was great just communicating some small issues. The downstairs toilet flush handle does not work all the time. The downstairs bed has a bad sway in the middle and the couple who slept in there said it forced them to keep being g pushed to the middle. Again, thanks again for a wonderful stay!!See you soon!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property is in a great location and the island is a great place to visit. The property is past it's prime and needs some work to be nice again. Upon arrival you are met with a swarm of mosquitoes and the smell of death from the trash sitting next to the front door for over a week. The house has almost everything provided in the descriptions but it is all well used and dated. Cleanliness was good for a once over but a deep clean could be done. Maintenance was lacking. From the AC filter that hadn't been changed in months to the back deck nearing collapse, the property needed work. Also, with a family there is no deadbolt or latch on the front door, just a standard door handle with a code from the outside. Anyone with the code or a tool could come in at anytime.

Airy, super clean home on a canal. Very pleased with the property. Confused that it is listed as “dog-friendly” but has a sign on front door stating “no smoking, no pets”. Since we didn’t bring our dog it wasn’t a problem, but was confusing. Check in and check out were super easy. Surprised that a house with beds for 9 people didn’t have more glasses and coffee mugs, but we made do. The lazy Susan in the middle of the table was great for game playing as well as passing food during meals.
