First they said hot water wasn’t part of the amenities then came back and said it was. They kept saying that they were sending someone out multiple time and NOBODY SHOWED UP. The beach is not a short walk we ended up driving. The beds are very uncomfortable but if you sleep on the couch is really comfortable. The good thing is the fishing dock was very nice! Once we got to the room it was cleanish but wifi was not working( they help up with this). We met some very nice neighbors (they are not police officers by the way like it stated). Actually, there were broken floor tiles that snaped as you walked across. So much that i made my kids keep shoes on for fear of the sharp edges of ceramic. There was hardly room to walk. Everything was dated. All of these things are fine, we were only there for the weekend to go to the beach, not to spend time in an apartment. Our family overlooked these things. However then you start to realize there is dust caked on the ciling fans. Fans that woble badly. Dust caked on the air vents and blinds. Kitchen cabinets were dirty inside. The "clean, bleach smell' when entering seems to have been only from them mopping the floor and wiping down the bathroom. Again, we were there to be at the beach so we could've delt with this. Then come bedtime, there is no hot water. The host was very quick to respond however for the 3 days we were there not a single person came to check. Kept telling us the maintenance assured it was on and hot when he check before our check in. Very cold showers all weekend was unpleasant to say the least. The soap,conditioner and shmpoo pumps in the tub were empty. We pulled back the covers to climb into the main bed and you could see a stain under the sheet. Sure enough, there was a blood stain on the mattress protector. It actually didnt look like it had been washed. We put an extra sheet over it and moved our pillows to the foot of the bed. The host was quick to respond but never offered help for the situations ##### Amanda F. This property was just as described and was perfect for my family of four. Very close to the beach and a few shops. Our only complaint was with cleaning. Majority of the property is clean but could use a little extra upkeep with a few things. For instance there was hair in our bed sheets and the pots and pans needed some cleaning. Otherwise I would definitely stay again. We had small issues like the alarm kept going off and the TV's took some time to figure out. The owner was really nice and reached out to help. The cushions on the porch are are torn up and need replaced or thrown away. They do not leave a good first impression. The blinds are broken and do not close properly. New blinds and curtains would be a a small upgrade that would make a big difference. The security lighting outside shines so bright into the unit - it is hard to sleep. There was one extra set of sheets leaving nothing for trundle or pull out sofa. The TV did not work and there were no operating instructions and property manager never responded. I’m sure a previous renter messed it up - we tried with no luck. Never got it to work. Thankfully we weren’t in the unit for TV. The AC doesn’t cool the master bedroom as well as it does the living room. Other than these few items - Unit was clean and stocked well. ##### Stacia H. When you turned the TV on it said “no signal” and there were no instructions on how to connect. The instructions received via check-in email regarding connecting to the internet were incomplete. Beautiful room, looked like advertised on the pictures. The suite was clean, and there was a lot of helpful stuff for cleaning (e.g. dishwasher tabs), and for living (e.g. coffee/salt/pepper, plenty of dishes and towels, etc), and even beach towels and chairs - those we didn't use though but still :) A/C and all appliances/devices - all was working well. There was missing TV remote for the second TV in the bedroom. But the first TV was ok, and luckily TV wasn't actually the main part of our vacation ;) Wooden floor in the bedroom was a little bit squeaky but not to the point to call it uncomfortable or annoying. Nice little pool right by the house, and cozy fishing pier in 20 meters of walking. Beach is reachable either by \~7-8min walking or by 5min driving, there is big free parking nearby the beach. Vacasa support team does really good job! Contacted them couple of times, they respond quickly and do their best to resolve your concerns. Overall, our family had a lot of fun there! Padre Island is a great place for a Sea vacation in general, and this "Pirate's Crossing" Condo is really cozy and helps to spend the vacation time with "like at home" comfort :) ##### Sergei K. When I got out dishes there was a plate that had hair on it. There was no way to figure out how the TV worked. I even called for help and we still had trouble. They said somebody was going to come and fix it and nobody did. In the end we figured out that we had to turn the box on and off every time in order for you to get any sort of channels. The couch is extremely uncomfortable and you can feel the bed that's underneath the cushions. The floor in the bedroom is very loud and squeaky everytime you walk on it. It's a cute place but needs upgrades. I did like that we received a new sponge in plastic wrap to clean and wash our own dishes. There are also plenty of clean towels. ##### Emilie F.
