  • You and your whole family will enjoy this beautiful home on our secluded property just a four minute walk from the beach. Heated pool and hot tub make it a great place to visit year round. Community tennis and basketball court. No need to cross route 12 or any busy streets. Surrounded by trees, your beach home offers unparalleled privacy for you to lounge around the pool or hot tub and enjoy your vacation in peace. The pool is salt-water, which means it’s easier on the hair and skin. The pool can be also heated upon request (additional fee applies). Located in the exclusive community of Ocean Sands, Section D has private beach access which keeps the beach uncrowded and the soft sands pristine. Section D beach also has its own lifeguard on duty (in season only) for your safety. The beach house is big, bright and sunny, with plenty of activities for everyone (tennis, playground, games and more). Gas and charcoal grills as well. There is a tower sitting area where you can enjoy a cocktail while watching the sunset or reading a good book. The house has 5 bedrooms (3 master), 4 bathrooms, a second living room area with SmartTV/futon, a private in-ground pool and outdoor shower. Two large decks allow you kick back and enjoy the sun, while staying close to home, or watching over your kids on our playground. A community tennis court is also one block away. The backyard has a bbq, picnic tables, swing-set and slide, plus plenty of sand for the kids to play around. For the golf lovers, we are right across the street from the Currituck Club, which is open to play for the public. We are not a big rental company. This is a family run business and we treat you like family. We are quick to respond if any issues arise and value the people who share our home year after year. We are confident that your whole family will enjoy this unique property and create memories that you will cherish for a lifetime. The house is in a great location and has plenty of privacy. The house was very clean and well stocked. The heated pool was fantastic, we spent a lot of time in the water with our grandson, who learned to swim underwater solo!! The outside area has plenty of sun as well as shaded areas. It's a great place to stay with families, lots of space.

The house was accurately listed and met all our expectations. The host was very fast responding to questions. The kitchen was very well equipped. It was perfect for traveling with little ones. Gates on all decks and secure fence around pool. It was very private and we enjoyed the heated pool all week. We would definitely book again.

Great vacation spot

The area is beautiful and the property is located so you have a lot of privacy. It's close to a grocery store and there is so much you can do for entertainment. We definitely hope to return to this area again.

Wonderful OBX Stay!

This home is impressive. Lots of room for all 9 of us. Every kitchen appliance you could ever need or want. Pool and hot tub were fantastic! Home is close to beach. Check in was easy and Eileen, Property Manager was great to work with. OBX is wonderful, but this home made our family trip outstanding.

Wonderful property, great pool

A good time was had by all! Easy walk to the beach, lots of time spent in the pool and on the breezy upper deck, big table to play games. We are three families with college and high school age children and other than a few runs to the grocery store, nobody got in a car all week. Property manager was nearby and easy to reach. Highly recommend.

Smooth Sailing

Oceans Sands is a great neighborhood and the house was a short walk to the beach. Having only one refrigerator was a problem as we had to keep our beverages in our coolers and continuously buy ice. Overall our family had a good experience!

Corolla get away

Overall was spacious. Good location. Pool was a bonus. But we wish the umbrellas on the pool deck were more suitable. There were 2 umbrellas that didnt appear to fit the bases and therefore didnt provide any shade.

Family get together

We very much enjoyed our stay. Each bedroom had its own bathroom which was very convenient. Pool was very clean. A new umbrella was appreciated. Short walk to the beach. They provided a packnplay booster seat and high chair. Hot tub a nice 105 degrees that I loved. Towels, beach chairs, well stocked kitchen, etc. Property manager was great and pleasant to work with… Thank you!

Great way to end the summer!

We had a group of 12 with 6 children ranging in age from 1 year to 12 years. The bedroom configuration worked out perfectly as did the layout of the home. Ocean Sands had a well equipped kitchen with everything we needed, including extra beach chairs, a beach cart, extra kitchen and pool towels, a nice play area for the kids, games, puzzles and of course the pool and beach. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Exactly what we were looking for

We had a group of 12 looking for something close to the beach with a pool. Check in was a breeze and Eileen was very helpful and attentive throughout our stay. The home exceeded our expectations in terms of amenities, space and layout. The house was equipped with everything from spare beach chairs, games, and even a beach cart. The location of the house itself was secluded, yet within a short walk to the beach access. With this house, all you have to do is show up and enjoy, everything you need is right there.

Great place to get away!

We really enjoyed this house. It had plenty of room for the ten of us to spread out when needed and just the right size table for family meals. The rooms were nice sizes and well furnished, with a lot of linens provided. It is well furnished and the extra beach items like chairs and the large wheeled cart were a huge plus! The kitchen had an odd collection of serving trays and not many choices to store left overs.The hot tub and pool are really nice, though as others have shared there isn't much shade by the pool most of the day. Communication with the manager was great, kept in touch before we arrived and on day of checkout. Having a gas grill with gas provided was a plus. The walk to the beach was not too far and the grocery store is the next street up the road, you could walk if you want to carry groceries back.

Relaxing week

The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The homes are very close together in this area and we didn’t realize that the walk to the beach would entail carrying the wagon of beach chairs and other items up a flight of stairs and back down. The pool area certainly needs some additional shade. The one working umbrella was small and torn. The traffic to the home was very congested at duck beach. This was our lack of knowledge and had nothing to do with the home itself. Eileen was easy to work with and continued to communicate with us. The linens that were provided was only one set per bed and we had married couples that would have preferred their own bath towel and washcloth. Appreciated the many beach towels that were provided. Overall, a wonderful, relaxing week.

Before booking our stay we read previous guests’ reviews thoroughly. We booked this property based on the glowing reviews regarding the cleanliness of the home. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the smell of Clorox CleanUp, and I was very optimistic. However, we did have issue with a few areas. Mildew on the shower curtains, mildew on sliding doors and some window frames. One sliding door had a broken lock, and a stick was provided to brace the door. There was a tag stating the pool had been serviced the day prior to our arrival. Unfortunately, the weather was stormy during our stay and we did not get to use the pool. However, we could see sand in the bottom of the pool, and a black dirty ring around the waterline. All very simple fixes, not trip ruining items, just things that the cleaners and pool maintenance people should be paying better attention to. We also expected a more private location, since “secluded” was used in the property description. It is not secluded, in my opinion, it’s just as close to other homes as any other beach house. The only difference was a few trees/shrubs.

Enjoyed our time at this house. Heated pool was great! When we had a small problem in the kitchen, the host was very responsive and took care of it immediately! Even loaded the dishwasher for us! Would definitely stay there again.

It’s a 4 minute walk down the street to the beach but then there are 2 flights of stairs to get over the dunes which means taking a wagon on the beach is next to impossible so you need to park it and carry everything over. The area underneath the house where the hammock was had empty cans and debris.Otherwise, the pool was a great plus as was the clean jacuzzi and the house was clean and comfortable.

Very short walk to the beach! The home had everything our family of 10 needed.There was a power outage in the neighborhood the first night that blew a blower on one of the air conditioners. Our host got an HVAC company there within hours and the problem was fixed ASAP. This impressed me because there were many other homes with issues after the power outage, but our problem was addressed quickly.My only concern was the presence of mold on several of the shower curtains. We washed them all in bleach and that cleared up the problem.
