The Cottage features a lovely private pool with sunny terraces and nice gardens, and it is air-conditioned. It is all on one level, next to an olive grove, and it can accommodate a family of three (one person will be accommodated on a bunk bed) in two bedrooms, one bathroom and a private pool. Layout The small garden gate opens to a stone-paved terrace and the entrance, which leads into an open plan living area, galley kitchen and dining table.At the back of this space, there are two bedrooms and a shower room. One of them is double and the second a small single with a bunk bed. Curtains separate the bedrooms from the living area.Lush greenery and flowers surround Fishermans Cottage, which ensures relative privacy. Both terraces – front and back – are stone-paved and remain sunny most of the day.The private pool ( width: 5m x 4m) nestles at the back of the Cottage. It is fenced with bushes to ensure the best possible privacy. The water is accessible via a metal pool ladder.The Location Fishermans Cottage is in an idyllic countryside area outside Kassiopi, with unlimited hiking options. We were there in early May and the situation is peaceful and private with a glimpse of the sea. The beach that is only 2 minutes away along a footpath is beautiful and almost deserted, mainly used by the surrounding villas and locals. Peaceful location and private space. Cottage had everything needed for self catering but we ate out at many lovely restaurants in Kassiopi, especially recommend Janis. 20 minute walk to beautiful Kassiopi, public path right beside cottage but a little rocky underfoot. Pool was perfect on hot days with pebble beach nearby. Had pleasure of meeting Carol the owner who was helpful and considerate, provided welcome gift of wine etc, she was a perfect host. Inside the dark wooden beams make everything look a little dark, but it's comfortable. Kitchen equipment is a little dated, but it all works. The a/c works well. The front patio has very nice partial views of the sea, about 200m away across a field. The back garden is beautiful and the small private pool is really nice. The location is rural, so bring mozzy spray! Be aware that Kassopi town is well over a mile away, so only really suitable if you have a car (or are a keen walker). ##### Chris H. With its own swimming pool, amazing facilities, a sone throw away from a rural beach, a short walk from shops, and restaurants. The owners were friendly and welcoming and offered any support needed. Beautiful views and much needed air conditioning when the heat got too much. Its a quaint place thats private and away from other holiday makers, but yet close enough that you dont feel totally cut off from civilisation. The cottage is surrounded by natural vegetation of fig trees, olive groves, tomatoes plants, grape vines and there were even friendly lizards to admire. It is a beautiful little house with a lovely pool in a wonderful location just 100m from Cogevinas beach which was perfect for snorkelling and on a hot day, with its shade. Carol, the owner is so friendly and left a lovely welcoming note for us and couldn't have been kinder. Sofronios was a great host and very responsive to questions before we arrived. There is a walk along the Corfiot Trail (go left on the beach and then right) which is about 1.2 km right into the heart of lovely Kassiopi with all it's great restaurants, shops, pretty harbour and boat hire. Look out for a little hidden beach called Souvia on the way. The local people were so friendly and welcoming and the food spectacular. We definitely recommend Mythos Taverna on the road into Kassiopi. We hired a boat in Kassiopi and spent a fantastic day exploring the coves along the coast. Walking distance from Kassiopi town and Avlaki beach (where you can hire sunbeds from the taverna) We also went to the Katya hotel a couple of times for tea which was down the same lane as the beach and had some nice meals there. They also rented us paddle boards. The cottage had everything we could need and Carol was very lovely and gave us a great welcome. The pool is lovely too. Lovely quiet area with the local beach only a few minutes walk away. The cottage was rustic but well kept and We loved spending time by the pool. The local village, has a small but handy supermarket and a lovely restaurant (Mythos Taverna) which is only 15 mins walk away. Other lovely beaches were Avlaki and Kalamaki beach, which was sandy and shallow water for a good 100m or so which was handy with a 4 yr old! Very comfortable and extremely well equipped. Beautiful private pool and garden and lovely shaded terrace for eating and sundowners. Local taxi only 5euro - well worth it on the return leg. Carol the property owner was very nice and easily accessible, nothing was too much trouble.
