We stayed here recently. Our experience was mostly good, but the hotel beach was misrepresented in the hotel website - photo-shopped - resulting in disappointment. The hotel is comfy and clean. The staff is superlative - every single member of the team we met was helpful and all, but especially Tasso and Sophia. The food we had on-site was good (breakfasts and one dinner).
The problem is the beach. The photoshopped image of the hotel's beach on the website is a fiction. We booked expecting the beach to be a draw, but after trying it once we went to other beaches. Unlike the image on site, there are only a few beach beds, no umbrellas or other covering, and the overgrown vegetation often blocks the sun if that is what you're seeking. We don't mind gravel beaches and sometimes they are preferable so that did not matter. We also don't mind the trash and seaweed detritus on the beach, but there was nowhere we could find to wash off our feet so that we ended up dragging an excess of seaweed to the hotel room, where it was a mess. I am surprised no one has mentioned this before. It was not a great value for the nightly rate, despite the great staff.
