Offering one of the most amazing and best designed swimming pools of the island, purposedly created and built for this villa by a well-known local architect, Beach Villa Joanna is truly set to impress. Thanks to its 3 spacious bedrooms (air-conditioned), beautifully decorated interiors, wide common areas both inside and outside, th villa can comfortably sleep up to 6 / 8 guests. Blessed by extensive gardens with lawn and olive trees, this villa is the perfect holiday home for families looking after a relxation break in the unspoilt Corfiot nature yet within easy reach to the seaside (which is just 500m away) and the many facilities or the nearby Roda. Inside, the villa is set over one floor. The modern interiors have been carefully designed to offer a relaxing, cheerful feeling, with high attention to the details. The open plan lounge / kitchen offers 2 sofas (including one sofa bed of standard single size, therefore very comfortable), TV, wi.fi internet connection, dining table. The kitchen is stylish and fully euipped with 4 cooking rings oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. The living area opens straight out to the spacious outside terrace even providing direct access to the pool! There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in total. The spacious master bedroom has its own bathroom with shower and big patio doors opening straight onto the poolside terrace. The second bedroom is a twin while the third one, particularly spacious, has 2 single beds (that can be joined on request) and an extra single bed. They share family bathroom with bathtub and washing machine. The owner Joanna, during the renovation, has carefully restored antique pieces all hand made by her grandfather John who was the former owner of the villa as well as a great carpenter. The outdoor areas of Beach Villa Joanna are set to impress. With the addition of a stunning swimming pool, which has been cleverly designed and is beautifully lit at night, guests can even enjoy a refreshing dip diving straight from the balcony. The swimming pool is divided into 2 sections, one dedicated to adults and one dedicated to the children. The adult section measures the impressive size of 9m x 4m (depth from 1.2m to 1.7m) while the children section measures 5m x 2m (dept 0.5m). The circular section of the pool has a pleasant seating area, perfect for relaxing while enjoying a drink. Adults and children can safely play on the lawn at the front of the villa, or sunbath on one of the comfortable sunbeds provided, enjoying the beautiful views over the surrounding olive trees. Private parking is also available on the premises. The property, thanks to its spacious interiors and its large exteriors, guarantees a pleasure and safe stay. All the areas, including the swimming pool, are carefully sanitized and sterilized for the health and tranquility of guests. NOTES: for the convenience of our guests, the price quoted includes everything, and no extras are required locally. I would definitely recommend a car as there isn’t much walking distance, the closest town being about a 20mins walk, but it’s super easy to drive around and get to all the local beaches and areas. The home is clean and comfortable and the outdoor area is lovely. Joanna is an amazing host, always checking in and asking if we needed anything. We arrived during a thunderstorm and the rain was leaking into the villa through the ceiling. The heavy rain also pushed the sewage up leaving a strong stench in the master bedroom which did not go away for 2-3 days. The leak in the ceiling must also have been responsible for an overall damp feeling throughout the entire villa. We have rented 5 star villas in Greece and even Corfu before. This was lacking a lot of things. We spend almost 50 Euros during our first shopping to buy just the daily basics like salt and pepper, olive oil, washing up liquid, washing machine tablets, sponges, etc. The entire house felt like it has been redecorated about 5 years ago but not much has been done since. Some paint was flaking of the walls (small cracks, nothing huge) and cobwebs in some corners of the house. The house was just about in acceptable condition but nowhere near luxury. The outside is only usable around the pool on the paved area, the rest of the garden is overgrown and you can't even kick a ball around as the grass and bushes are too high. The landlord was available at request but we did not feel our concerns were addressed so we agreed with the booking agency to change houses after a few days. As I said, the house is of basic standard, nowhere near luxury and we have seen much much better for same price tags in Corfu. ##### Jens L. The villa was exactly as advertised, very tidy, extremely clean and comfortable. We stayed for 11 nights and the villa was cleaned twice by Gala, ( a lovely lady) who cleaned everything inside and out.. All loved the swimming pools especially the children (pool cleaned twice) We did not have a car but we all managed to walk into Roda every day ( walking kept us fit) to enjoy the beach,restaurants and entertainment. Swimming pool will Give you a lot of joy and nice coolnes in hot days. You can go to the sea Beach, just 6 minutes by foot. Inside the villa there are 3 bedroom, kitchen and livingroom. All perfectly designed! You can eat figs and jujube fruits directly from trees/no chemical stuff used to grow/. Sometimes there come lovely Cat to visit. Joanna, the owner is very kind person. She reccomended us a great place to go on Crete. She is really helpful and cares about every aspect of your holiday. We spent there a week and are plannig to come back next year. ##### Agnieszka R. She provided a non-stick frying pan within minutes of us requesting it. She also coordinated with the supermarket for deliveries to the Villa. The house is beautifully located in the country. Not perfect for the beach but the pool is big enough and very well maintained with no chlorine smell or taste. Effective air conditioning and well equipped kitchen with dishwasher. We loved being in a totally peaceful location and enjoyed the pool and outside living. We cooked on the BBQ, there's a good outside kitchen and it's a spacious and lovely space to chill and relax. You need a car to get around and see the island, but we also walked to the Three brothers taverna and had the best squid ever. It was a lovely walk, turn out of the gate and walk right and turn left at the beach . It was lovely to be able to do this when you don't want to drive but would like a lunch or evening out. The owners are charming and they very helpful and attentive. The cleaning of this villa was fantastic, thank you to the lady who came during our stay, you were super. The pool is big, clean and great in the heat. The house was spotlessly clean and was serviced during our week stay. The garden is great for eating big meals outside in the evening and listening to the local wildlife. The hosts were helpful and answered all our questions quickly. They even helped us with the airport transfer. We did not have a car - the town and beach is only a short walk (beach around 10 mins and town around 25 mins) although if you want to explore the rest of the island then having a car or hiring scooters (as we did) is a must. I literally do not have a bad word to say about the villa or the hosts and have already recommended the villa to other friends (we definitely plan to return)! ##### Rosie P. Well designed and well kept. Nicely decorated and inviting.The villa is approximately an hour drive from the airport. A car/ vehicle is essential as there is one taxi service operating in the area and you are not guaranteed a taxi when requested. Nearest supermarket approximately 20 minute drive. The villa is a quiet and peaceful/ secluded location.The kitchen/ dining area open plan design meet our needs, and there was also the option to dine outdoors which was a great.Bedrooms were a good size and all air conditioned. Master bedroom has an en suite, and Master/ second bedroom have patio doors leading to the pool / outdoors.The beach is a short drive from the villa or a 30 min walk. Local mini mart supermarket is a 5 min drive and are also available to deliver, which was excellent.Cleaning took place twice a week. Villa was cleaned and maintained to an excellent standard.On the website there is no mention of a car being essential, however the owner notified guests and is a useful sources of information. Great large pool which also has a separate children’s pool which is fantastic and accommodating feature.Bathrooms are nicely designed, family bathroom spacious and adequate for 5he size of the villa.The owner was welcoming and friendly.
