HEALTH HAZARD!!! Description is misleading!! We were here in December, there is no heat in the cabans except a wood stove. They lite the fire at 6.pm, the wood that they gave us was burned away at 9 pm. I had to go out in the 28 degree weather to get more firewood. That lasted until midnight, had to go out again for more wood and try to restart the fire. Smoke inside we had to open the door. If someone had asthma they would be seriously in trouble. I had to set my alarm for every 3 hours to get more firewood and restart the fire. We were breathing wood smoke all night. Our cloths smell like we were at a bonfire. Sad thing is that the cabins are really nice, maybe in the summertime. Very remote, nothing to do except trying to keep the fire going. Small restaurant across the street. Again no heat, food was good. Dont get taken in by the "tour" that the owner Fernando offered. He charge 4 of us 50 dollars to drive us 3 miles to the teleférico,dropped us off and said would be back in two hours. Bitter cold, teleférico took an hour and was great but they closed the place and we had to wait in the cold for Fernando. He then stopped twice for 5 minutes on the way back to the cabins for us to get out of the car and look at the canyon. Un poco elevados algunos precios de servicios que ofrecieron. Para ser una primera vez de querer visitar las Barrancas del Cobre y tomar el Chepe, estuvo bien. En alguna futura ocasión quizá opte por otra opción. Hay un restaurante y una tiendita enseguida de las cabañas, además están muy cerca de la estación del chepe posada barrancas como a 10 min caminando. El personal es amable y se ofrecen servicios de tour al parque aventura barrancas del cobre. A dos kilómetros del parque. El problema es que las personas que administran el hospedaje parecen no saber cómo llevar adelante el trato con sus huéspedes: su presencia brilla x su ausencia ( me dijeron un día que me iban a buscar a divisarero y me tuve que venir caminando, en otra opertunidad me aseguraron que me trasladaan para abordar el chepe y tuve que irme solo con las maletas porque no cumplieron con lo pautado, el día que se cortó la luz tuve que tomar la iniciativa para solicitar unas velas, la cabalgata que ellos me ofrecieron terminé contratandola yo mismo (a un grupo de personas cuando arribaron le prometieron una cabalgata y al otro día ellos mismos tuvieron que organizarla conmigo porque no había nadie de las cabañas haciéndose responsable de la organización). En resumen, todo muy improvisado, personas que parecen estar dando sus primeros pasos en emprendimientos turísticos... ##### diego alejandro Stayed 2 nights in Jan 2018 ### 6/10 Okay #### Verified traveller 15 Jan 2018 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service #### Si no quieres gastar en hospedaje, es buena opcion Esperaba algo basico, pero estaba un poco descuidado, sin cortinas de baño, no había tele, pero el dueño es una persona formidable que te ayuda en todo lo que necesites, y nos cambó de cuarto cada noche, para que pudieramos tener tv. Solo falta cuidar ciertos detalles en los baños, y cambiar a cobijas más delgadas, son muy pesadas las que tienen. Me encantó el calentador de leña en mi cuarto. Dueño y personal muy amables. El lugar horrible, llegamos y afuera de nuestra habitación (porque no son Cabañas) estaban como 5 tipos bebiendo y con música a alto volumen, al vernos no mostraron intención de retirarse, el Sr que nos atendió no decía nada, entramos al cierto y estaba muy feo!
