"Easy to find as it was just off the highway but little to no road noise once we were there. Staff was very nice and helpful. Cabin 4 was pretty clean, nice, plenty of room for 2 people. Great view of the trees and what should have been the river from our deck and picnic area. River was basically dry which was a bummer. It was pretty quiet which was nice. Pool and hot tub were excellent! They even had it stay open an hour later since it was so hot and we took advantage of a sunset swim which was great after a hot car ride. We had a couple minor issues that were taken care of promptly by the staff and they even gave us some locally made mead as a thank you for understanding and a happy birthday. The only thing I would recommend is to bring a mattress pad because personally the mattress was very uncomfortable as it was pretty hard. Other than that we had a great time and enjoyed our stay. We didn't get a chance to take advantage of everything they offer but we would both go back again. I would recommend checking it out earlier in the year or the fall in the hopes the river has water in it. Overall happy with my stay."

"The house was beautiful and the ocean views were unbelievable. If looking for a quiet place to relax and get away from crowds- this is it. This was our first time renting/VRBO a house and the experience was amazingly easy and the house….truly remarkable and gorgeous. The water was well water, with a sulfur smell, but it clean and safe with no issues. The only thing I would recommend is the outside of the house needs to be cleaned, (the exterior), and the grounds next to the house, need some mowing. But it never took away from the experience, would rent this place again. The host was gracious and had cleaners set up when we checked out- so we had no worries with that."

"Pros: This is a beautiful place. Our room (#1) was lovely and spacious. Spectacular views. Comfy bed. Great big kitchen. Ocean front. Easy access to tide pools. Walking to two really good restaurants. Nice community hot tub. Cons: Communication was spotty. Received messages multiple times requesting my info (they use contactless check in), but didn’t receive final email with check in code and Rm number. Msgd them with no response. Called them and they were very helpful. Had to do the same thing for WiFi code (weak WiFi). Came upon an elderly couple who arrived with no idea how to check in and no cell service. We were able to talk them through it and give them the WiFi code that worked outside at a certain spot. On our last day we received a message welcoming us. Also, for such a large studio you would expect some storage. There were five hooks and a small hanging bar with no hangers. No place for luggage or a place to put your things. But as I said earlier, the room was lovely- new remodel. We enjoyed staying here once we figured it all out. Can’t beat the location."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay and would happily book this home again. It was the perfect place for our family. It was comfortable, clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. After long days of exploring the Lost Coast, it was so nice to come back to a place that truly felt like home. The location was fantastic. We loved being close to everything Shelter Cove has to offer while still enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The golf course setting made for a relaxing place to unwind, and it was a great home base for visiting Black Sands Beach, tide pooling, and exploring the area with our kids. Our host was also fantastic. She was incredibly responsive, friendly, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay, which made everything seamless from check-in to check-out. We made some wonderful family memories here and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We highly recommend this home and will definitely be back!"

"I didn't expect much from a $100 dollar room. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the AC worked really well, the TV was newer. Yes, the property is older but I was pleasantly surprised. I had room 127, king, non-smoking."
