About this property

Glamping in the Redwoods, with a hot tub!

If you’re a nature lover, Humboldt county has endless beauty to behold. It is home to the tallest trees on the planet. It boasts majestic cliffs overlooking the ocean. Crystal clear rivers and pebble beaches meander through its rolling hillsides. There are lagoons to kayak in, dunes and forests to hike in, rivers and beaches to swim in, and this luxurious Glamping site to relax in.

Our small family farm invites you to camp in luxury under a canopy of redwoods and stars. Located just 10 mins outside of Garberville in a redwood valley, we offer two glamping sites that have everything you need to enjoy nature in style. One of the sites is called The Orchard. You can drive your car right up to it. The other requires climbing stairs to the top of a hill. We call that one The Knoll. This page describes The Orchard site. Click the link below to see more info on The Knoll.

This carpeted 16 foot round tent features a queen size bed with all linens, pillows blankets, as well as a couch, coffee table, drawers for clothing, and solar powered lights both inside and outside. It has a small outdoor kitchenette with a 2-burner stove, pots, pans, coffee, tea, and a 5-gallon water jug. Enjoy your meals on a large outdoor table nestled under a shady canopy. Plates, glasses and cutlery are provided. There is a cooler, a compost bin for your food scraps, porto-potty service and a hand washing station. Internet is available.

For showering, feel free to use our gorgeous hand made spiral outdoor shower, and then relax under the stars in our 5 person hot tub!

About us: We are 4 adults who have lived on this land growing our own food and medicine for over 20 years. Our land is off-grid, but we have a robust solar and hydro energy system. We take great pride in stewarding this beautiful land and farm responsibly and would love the opportunity to show it off to you. We are also happy to share our secrets on the best forest hikes, the best swimming holes, the best beaches, the best restaurants and anything else you would like to know about Humboldt.

Great Stay
We stayed for the Avenue of the Giants Marathon and the location was perfect. We were close enough to hike and explore then come back for a good nights sleep. Hosts were amazing and responsive! Wonderful experience.

My friend and I loved how off the grid this place was. It was very peaceful, and we were a huge fan of hot tubbing while star gazing. The hosts were also very kind and friendly, giving us suggestions of places to eat and check out a river to cool off during a hot summer day. One thing to note is that there is a rather long gravel road to get there which is hilly. We had a 2WD car with low clearance, and it handled it just fine. We just took it slow, and it wasn't an issue. Definitely would recommend the place for anyone wanting to get away and enjoy nature.
