Dining experience shambolic. Room not big enough to accommodate need. Not enough tables or chairs to accommodate guests. Many people standing up. Noisy: rooms have nothing to absorb sound so noise rattles about. Coffee Machine took forever to work so queue would form. Breakfast items too high for children to reach. Often run out eg eggs, and fruit. Scrambled egg and bacon cold……
The hotel is undertaking development so major work is ongoing around guests and services therefore appear make do and mend. No doubt the hotel will emerge well from the major work but guests should be made aware of the situation beforehand. I was sent a brief note in French, but this gave no indication of the extent of the alterations. I have already given my comments on the room which was furnished with a folding camp chair and camp stool.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel and clean and well located but needs some updating.

"OK" Western (not "best" western)
The staff are nice, the hotel leaves room for improvement. It's ok really for a night or two, on a business trip, but nothing to tell the friends about.
We had one of the family rooms which was fantastic. Two gloors, 3 bedrooms and a nice little living room /dining room area. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit old, but in a vharming kind of way. We only stayed ine night on our way to paris, but would have liked to stay longer.

Perfectly ok place to stay on the way back from the South of France. Lots of nice restaurants nearby.
Hotel is very dated and was located in an area with significant activity (e.g., traffic, hotel across the street) outside which made it difficult to sleep with the windows open.
the staff member who checked us in was indifferent to the point of rudeness. However the night time staff was incredible. The elevator was down which was a pain lugging baggage up to the fifth floor.
Avoid this place. No air-conditioning, faulty lift, dimly lit corridors, parking unavailble as advertised, difficult wifi setup, poor maintenance, construction noise.

Fabulous Location
You could not get a much better location. It's five minutes from the train station, five minutes from the town square and two minutes from the beautiful River Oise.. As stated on other reviews the rooms most certainly need updating and some brighter decor, although it was comfortable and functional. I was shocked that a KitKat from the mini bar was costly, so beware!. All in all I would stay here again.
This hotel is so overpriced for the condition of the room. The photos of the lobby make it look much nicer than it is. There was mould and open wire work in our "comfort suite". We complained and asked for a refund. We were told that, as we had already checked in we were not entitled to a refund and that we should have looked at the room before checking in! who checks a room before checking in?! we left and stayed at the ibis budget over the road that was over £40 cheaper, cleaner and safer. Hoping that Hotels.com will re-imburse us for the lost night at this dreadful hotel.
Came for Paris-Roubaix. Hotel was a ten minute walk from the camp with parking across the street. A little old, but pleasant all the same. Very nice!

Good location and quieter than might be expected.
Central location next to river near railway station restaurants palace and shops. Compiegne is a lovely town and needs to be walked around to see it properly so leave your car in the underground car park (booking essential) and put your walking shoes on.
Very very nice hotel. Staff was FANTASTIC!
Hotel does not have AC, thought that should have been noted, but all the positives made up for that little inconvenience. If it was very hot outside that would have been a problem.
Very nice hotel close to food and attractions. Comfortable beds. We had a three room suite. Eaay walk to attractions. Only downsides are that it is on a busy street, so it is noisy with the windows open, which is the only way to keep it cool enough, and that they charge 10€ per night for parking

Good hotel over looking the river
This was just an over night stop for us on our way back from holiday in Italy but we will definitely visit Conpiegne again for a longer stay. The hotel was in a good location and the room was large and comfortable and receptionist on arrival really helpful. But the best bit was the restaurant Besux Arts next door the food was amazing unfortunately after a long drive that day we were too tired to have more than the main course but both of our meals were excellent.

A good base but the decor a bit dull reception staff excellent and really the bar area is reception(small) breakfast good plenty of choice
I would stay at the hotel again
our family of 6 with 4 kids really loved staying in the 3 bedroom family suite. The price was very reasonable and the hotel is located near the train station. All of the sights of the town are within easy walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast was nice with lovely pastries.
We booked this last minute while traveling. Our confirmation said paid in full, however, the hotel said no, so we had to pay them. They pressed we would not be paying twice, will have to check once we return from Europe. The room was very small, but the bed was great.
Just stayed one night. Excellent location, staff very helpful and friendly. When we found that we had a smoking room they immediately changed our room for a non-smoking one with no fuss at all. Would recommend this hotel.
