Entering the living room, one finds oneself in front of a bright and comfortable environment, with a dark grey double sofa bed enriched with decorative cushions that add a touch of colour and artistic prints decorating the room. A flat-screen TV is mounted on the wall, ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the city. The kitchen, which is part of the same room, is modern and well equipped. It has white cabinets with stainless steel handles and includes a steel combination refrigerator, microwave oven and dishwasher, perfect for those planning to stay longer. In the centre of the kitchen, there is a round table with four pastel green retro-style chairs, an ideal corner for lunch or dinner. The master bedroom is distinguished by the special design of the wall, painted with a half-moon in a delicate blue-grey that frames the bed. White linen and light blue pillows create a relaxing and harmonious ambience. A large window lets in plenty of natural light, creating a pleasant room to live in. The bathroom, with its minimalist design, has black tiles that give it a sophisticated look. The washbasin is set on a natural wood countertop. The shower, with its transparent glass enclosure, is spacious and functional. The flat also has a washing machine. Borgo Del Lago is located in a building with an internal courtyard, characterised by a quiet atmosphere typical of Como's historic buildings. The property has an uncovered private car park. In 15 minutes you can reach: Porta Torre, one of the historical entrances to the walled city; Piazza San Fedele, a pretty little square with the Romanesque basilica of the same name; Via Vittorio Emanuele, one of the most famous streets for shopping; Piazza Volta, very lively for aperitifs and after-dinner al fresco dining all year round; the famous Piazza Duomo, with its marvellous cathedral and its Broletto, both worth visiting. A 10-minute walk takes you to Piazza Cavour, the largest square in Como, in front of which you can take the Navigazione Lago di Como boat to the most famous places on the lake (Cernobbio, Blevio, Torno, Laglio, Argegno, Menaggio, Bellagio, Varenna). Also on foot, or by renting city bikes, you can reach Villa Olmo and its park, taking the picturesque walk from the Hangar, and Villa Geno along the lakeside promenade of Viale Geno. At the beginning of Viale Geno there is also the Funicular railway station to reach Brunate and its lighthouse, where you can stop for lunch in one of the many restaurants, or continue with a panoramic trek towards the Lario mountains, with a break in one of the mountain huts you will encounter along the way. Within a few minutes' walk there are bars, Italian restaurants, sushi restaurants, car and motorbike rental services. How to get there: By car, from the A9 motorway take the Como Nord exit and set your GPS: in 10 minutes you will reach the flat. By train, get off at Como S. Giovanni station and in just 10 minutes you will reach the flat on foot. Or from Como S. Giovanni station take the bus C10 direction ‘Como S.
