Terrible Bed, Maintenance Issues, But Good Staff

At first glance it seemed fine. Friendly staff, easy check in, spacious room. But be warned, there are almost no amenities included beyond towels and a couple of soaps. Maybe that's normal for extended stay, but it was bare bones. Of bigger concern were the terrible bed and the maintenance issues. The bed was awful, quite possibly the least comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. It felt like a cheap $199 mattress you buy directly out of those discount furniture warehouses. You could feel the metal spring assembly under the mattress top. We also had an AC/heat unit that stopped blowing air despite being on, and it took a visit from the front desk - who rinsed out the filter in the sink and put it back in still a little wet - to get it halfway working, after calling down a few times and being told to try this and that to make it work. Even after that, the fan would go on and off periodically even when set to remain on. The shower also had drainage problems the first time used, although that was fixed by the time we returned to the room a few hours after telling them. Finally, the elevator call buttons were broken on the 4th floor the morning of checkout, so we had to drag bags down the stairs. Not a problem for us since we are healthy and able, but another sign of the quality. Overall, it was disappointing and not worth the price. The staff was very friendly and responsive, but the fact maintenance was needed at all, much less twice, is a problem for a hotel.

Great Location!

Room was clean, nice kitchenette, plenty of room to move around, nice sized bathroom, friendly staff, & at an excellent location! Couldn't ask for a better place to stay!

Business Trip

Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Not really. People above me kept late hours. Not noisy, just heavy footed.
Location: Good eats nearby.
The staff is excellent. They took care of my every need.I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in the area.

Hopefully Never Again!

Hopefully, I will not stay at Extended Stay America, and I pray never at this one particular one in the near future. Check-in was erratic. Room did not have a telephone, light did not burn, bathroom door did not lock. Even the billing was wrong. The hot water in the lobby for coffee etc., never was frequently lukewarm. There are several lights in the room, but the room is still dark and the lights are positioned to be useless. The front desk tried to be helpful but they are also busy taking care of several other job responsibilities simultaneously. They go missing from the front desk for extraordinarily long periods of time leaving customers often waiting for over 15 minutes with nobody to attend to them.

Convenient and affordable

The hotel is close to the movie theatre and multiple dining places. We did not have any issues with our stay.

Nice hotel in Columbus, 20 min drive to downtown

Super awesome, got to check right in. The room was very nice with a little kitchenette. The best part is check in is 18 yrs of age!

Messy and lacked amenities

Although an attractive building with newer look inside and out, we were very grossed out by how filthy dirty the lobby and elevator were. Our room lacked basic amenities; no soap dish, no hooks in bathroom, and no toilet paper holder! TP just sat on back of toilet. No hair dryer. But, mostly, there was no trash can in the entire room! I hope these things are addressed and fixed for guests in the future.
