Loved The amenities. Mountain view was amazing.

Hotel was great, and location was great for walking into the centre of Banff. Breakfast buffet was really poor!!! Building site next door, (and I mean just a matter of metres from our bedroom window), meant we were woken up just after 7am all 3 mornings. Most disappointing thing is how poorly the hotel staff handled the issue. Complained for days, acknowledging that it was not the hotels fault, but we felt they should issue a partial refund due to the impact this had on our holiday! Our group had 5 rooms for 9 people, so had spent a large amount of money, and 3 rooms were significantly impacted by the building site. The pleasant staff on reception were never able to get hold of a manager to deal with our complaint, and in the end we left the hotel after 3 nights (and 3 early starts!) with very negative feelings, which all could have been avoided, had they just acknowledged the issue appropriately. It was never about trying to get a crazy compensation figure, just wanted the hotel to acknowledge it, and admit that at the very least we should have been warned about the building site, especially when we checked in. For example, a warning at check in, and offer of a small reduction on each room would have made our stay a very different experience!!! If I’m ever lucky enough to go back to Banff, I won’t stay here!!!
