The person running the front desk was amazing and extremely helpful. She is clearly a very good employee and helpful. We would rank her as excellent. compared to other Tru’s we’ve stayed at This one is not well-maintained and is dingy / dilapidated. We previously stayed at probably one of the older Tru’s located in Wytheville, Virginia, and the place is so well-maintained it looked and felt like it was almost new. Next time we come through Columbia, South Carolina will probably stay at the true that’s on the other side of town. We are frequent flyers and have stayed at 6 different Tru’s this is been quite disappointing.

The bathroom had mold in the shower. The hallway was filthy with dirty carpets and the walls were scratched and dirty. The room was dark and had a funky smell. And the bed looked like someone had just slept in it. There is no coffee maker in the room. The coffee is in the lobby. Noisy, noisy noisy! This is a party hotel for locals. RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! GROSS!

First of all, I paid for a King room in advance & got 2 queen beds instead; was told they didn’t have any more King beds available. Secondly, the door to the room would not shut unless you lifted up on it; thirdly, there was a pair of scissors on the window sill & I was not about to touch them. And finally, there was not a coffee maker in the room. Called front desk & she didn’t offer to change anything because she was new???

The first room had water coming up under the floor in the bedroom from the bathroom. Asked to change rooms. The first morning breakfast had no pancakes or eggs or sausage or fruit….. The truck did not delivery the day before. Our primary reason for booking was to have breakfast before we left for the day

Walkable to a few restaurants and the mall. Very close to bowling and Frankie's fun park too. Staff was friendly and the market area (snacks/drinks) they had was nice. Gym has a pelaton, 2 treadmills, kettle bells, TRX, the usual equipment and even an option for a monitor to guide you through a 10 20 or 30 min workout. Would stay again. Dog friendly too and for a fair price.
