Rustic 3BR Home with Hot Tub, Peak View near Cripple Creek

Summary:
This modern yet rustic mountain home is tucked out of the way in a dense forest, with sweeping views of of the forest and the back side of Pikes Peak. You won't believe how peaceful it is! Yes, there is good WiFi! You're just a few miles up Hwy 67 to Cripple Creek with small shops, restaurants, and some of Colorado's only casinos! **While the road is plowed, during winter months we do recommend 4WD for the large snow amounts Colorado mountains get each year.

We affectionately call this spot "Park Ridge Lodge" as a fun nod to the original Park Ridge mining claim it sits on. They may not have struck gold, but we think you'll agree this spot is pure gold. :) We were recently featured by Pic2Click as Park Ridge Lodge, complete with a virtual tour and video!

This impressive, completely remodeled modular is 1200 sqft all on one level, with a large family room and kitchen area so you can spread out. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. You'll have 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and 1 twin bunk bed, plus a sleeper sofa.

The Space:
Layout:
- All one level, bright and airy
- The master with ensuite on one side, 2 bedrooms on the other side
- Open kitchen/dining/sitting area

Bedrooms:
- Master has a king bed and it's own bathroom
- On the other side of the home is "the kids room" with a twin bunk bed
- Next to that is an additional queen bedroom

Entertainment: highspeed internet, and a Roku for Netflix, Hulu, etc.

Guest Access:
You'll have full access to the entire modular, including the surrounding forest. There is lots of Bureau of Land Management (Colorado public) land around here as well! There's plenty of room for parking, just make sure not to block the road.

The Neighborhood:
You'll be just 0.8 miles off Highway 67, and under 4 miles (7 minutes) to Cripple Creek. You'll drive through a county area that is an eclectic mix of million-dollar mansions and old shacks on your way to the cabin. The 0.8 mile drive off the highway is on a maintained dirt road (and plowed in the winter). You'll turn right after a trucking yard, pass a few houses, and come to this cabin near the end of the road.

Getting Around:
If you're looking to walk around, hike, or bring your bike/ATV/etc. there's plenty of room around here. If you're looking for food or shopping or gambling at the casino, Cripple Creek is just 7 minute drive away, and you can get to Divide in 25 minutes. Colorado Springs is 1 hour away. If you're wanting to hit the slopes, Breckenridge and Monarch are both about 2 hours away. **4WD recommended for winter months.

Other Things to Note:
AT&T and T-Mobile users do not get good signal here. Verizon and Sprint seem to be good (LTE). We do have fast wifi to help you stay connected, and you can use wifi calling.

Interaction with Guests:
This is a remote area and we will not be onsite. If you have trouble we can be reached via messenger and can make recommendations on who to call in case of emergency. We do have exterior cameras for monitoring to ensure rules are followed and for safety.

Beautiful peaceful location
Cute and spacious house. Beautiful but a little hard to find location especially in the dark. I would suggest to not take a motorcycle down these roads. This was the only down fall. Other than that it was great. I would stay again but take a car next time ;).

good place
I had a good but short stay at this place. The price was fair and the amenities were nice. I especially enjoyed the hot tub and the view. The place had plates and utensils, so we could cook our own food. The service was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Just a great place to rest and refuel. Not far from the casinos if you need some noise. The house has plenty of sleeping options( 6 comfortably). No yard would be a downside but there is a small hot tub to get some more rest and relaxation in. I would definitely use again if needed.

Very peaceful
Nice home, very peaceful, and the host was great to work with. It rained every day we were there, so it was nice to have this place to come back to when we weren't able to be out exploring.

Strong Spring snow storm hit quickly just before check-in depositing nearly 1 foot in approx 30 minutes. My front wheel drive vehicle could not make it up a steep paved road leading to the dirt road access to the property. The property description says 4 wheel drive vehicle recommended, so they had no sympathy that I could not make it and didn't use the property at all.

We had a great time!
My husband and our 3 kids ages 8.10 and 15 had a wonderful time here! The modular was well equipped for all of us, felt just like a cabin. The hot tub was perfect, views and surroundings were gorgeous. The hot water was just fine (per other reviews, we had no issues, just keep the dial in the middle!) Ryan and Jaime were great with communication and the process was so easy! We will definitely be back!
