"This hotel is extraordinary, I’ve never stayed anywhere like it. The palazzo only has 5 rooms, so it is like an exclusive boutique hotel. The rooms have all the modern amenities you would expect, while keeping the original features and history of the building. The breakfast, served on the beautiful roof terrace, was incredible. It was definitely one of our favourite parts of our stay. Over about six different courses, changed each day, Maria will talk you through the ingredients, the agriculture and the story behind the produce. She knows everyone who makes the produce, which is all bought fresh and local that morning. Food is a way of life here, and each morning was like a private food tour through the region. Bring your appetite as we definitely didn’t feel the need to eat until dinner! Maria was also so kind to make adjustments for my particular diet. Special thanks to Maria for being so attentive, for always being on hand with tips or advice if we needed, recommending everything from restaurants, to shops, to trips to other towns. She was happy to send all the details to our phones for easy access, it was like having a personal concierge throughout our stay and we felt so cared for through her hospitality and attention to detail. A selfish part of me hopes this hotel doesn’t become too popular so that we can return whenever we like in future (we plan to!), but honestly I would recommend this hotel with no hesitation to anyone who wants an authentic Apulian experience"

"We booked Dal Canonico through Expedia we were going to a wedding at nearby Tenuta Pinto. The good : the pool, walking distance to Tenuta Pinto (warning - dusty track!), the gardens - fig trees, limes, olives and lots of places to sit, the yummy pastries at breakfast and the super, super helpful Alex -we were sorry we didn't get to say goodbye to him. Good to know: The rooms that have an ensuite (and cost more/ deluxe) are not in the main house but are in a meters-away barrel vault building that has no real windows and so you feel you are underground, which was a bit offputting. The rooms without ensuites are in the main house, and are characterful and have proper windows - so if you don't mind a short walk to the bathroom, these are by far the better rooms in my opinion. Not so good: it was was impossible to communicate with Dal Canonico in advance - even Expedia couldn't help. This was frustrating as we had booked months ahead and when we all finally heard from the hotel two days or so before we flew which it was too late - with one couple forced to pay for a night they weren't event going to be staying. Also, on the first night we had limited sleep due to a faulty hotel alarm going off intermittently but very loudly throughout the night. Alex apologised to us on behalf of the hotel which we appreciated but it would have been a nice touch to be offered a tiny gesture (free 2 euro swim cap perhaps?!) to make up for the lack of sleep in advance of the wedding!!"

"We spent nearly 3 weeks in the home with our 2 young children and grandma. It was very comfortable with all the things we needed. The home had tons of natural light and the air conditioning kept us cool when we wanted. Our host, Roberta was so helpful the entire stay. She would check in periodically to make sure we had everything we needed, and was full of helpful tips about the area. The location of the apartment was fantastic. A short walk to the beach and the piazza. Cafes (bars), gelato, and food all around. Also a very nice grocery store just around the corner. We would definitely look to stay at this home again."

"We had a wonderful stay at Leluan Bed & Breakfast! The apartment was clean, modern and spacious. Luisa was a fantastic host and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. Her communication was excellent throughout, which made checking in and out, stress free. Breakfast was lovely spread every morning, on the terrace overlooking the sea! Luisa even offered to drive our suitcase up to the railway station upon checkout, which was a huge help! A true gem of a B&B - couldn’t recommend enough!"
