The Northwoods House - Direct ATV Access
The Northwoods House is a cozy, yet spacious home centrally located between Colebrook and Pittsburg (8 miles to town center) in the heart of the Great Northwoods.
Easy to get to in all seasons with privacy and room for trailers, this home is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast looking to take advantage of ATVing (direct access!), snowmobiling (super close), or boating as well as being a quiet relaxing retreat.
Purchased and refreshed in late 2020, this home features all new furnishings and beds, including king and queen memory foam mattresses. Two living/lounging spaces both featuring gas fireplaces, as well as large flat screen TVs with multiple streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, Fubo, Disney+) provide plenty of space for everyone.
Kitchen is fully equipped with silverware, dishes, pots, pans, etc with a large enough table for everyone to sit together for dinner or a game.
Garage is able to be used to park your toys and driveway is large enough to park your trailers. Home is located on an ATV trail and an almost literal stone's throw to the snowmobile trails. (Feel free to message me about this!)
Relaxing is made easy on the porch -- whether you're sipping your morning coffee with a book or a glass of wine at night while listening to Bishop Brook's white noise.
This area is prime and well known for: - Hunting (upland, small game, big game) - Fishing (fly fishing, ice fishing, lake fishing) - Boating (canoeing, kayaking, motor boats, jet skis on First Connecticut) - Wildlife Viewing and bird watching (moose, deer, bear, snowshoe hares, porcupines, loons, otters, grouse, heron, and so much more!) - Breathtaking Foliage in the fall - Snowmobiling - ATVing - Hiking (Cohos Trail, Mount Magalloway, Deer Mountain, Monodanock, Table Rock at Dixville Notch) - Snowshoeing, Cross Country Skiing
Well behaved dogs are more than welcome (but should be crated when left alone).
We hope you enjoy your stay and the area as much as we do!

Very impressed with the location, decor, communication with home owners. We will absolutely be making this property part of our annual trips. Thanks Nicole and Bret!
My husband & I l rented this house to take my Dad and Uncle to their sister’s 90th birthday party in Colebrook, NH and it was very convenient. Location was great. The house was clean and the gas fireplace made it warm & cozy.
Perfect location with easy access to 3 different area trail
The home was clean and comfortable with 2 showers which were needed as the trails were very dusty
The property is nice and secluded, the house was clean and roomy. We were there for just two days for a wedding so didn’t make use of all the amenities, but wish we would have booked it for a longer stay. Nicole was quick to respond to any and all my questions. Would definitely rent this house again!
We had a great time with 2 couples and riding our 4 wheelers. Right on the trail system very comfortable and clean. Ample room for trailers to park. We enjoyed the fire pit (brought our own wood) and the gas grill was a plus. Highly recommend!
This was our third or fourth stay at this property for a family ATV trip. The home is deceivingly larger than it looks from the outside and has everything you need inside. Comfortable, accommodating, and stylish. A repeat property for this group.
Beautiful home tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the eclipse mania, yet still had access to Colebrook for restaurants and grocery.
At the back of the property is a field on a hill with a gorgeous view of the mountains. We enjoyed the eclipse and sunsets there. Low light pollution made for amazing night skies. Lots of wildlife including deer, raptors, turkeys, and even a grouse.
Planning to return to observe the seasons.
We utilized this property for a business trip to house a handful of customers. The owner was very transparent and allowed for a successful stress free experience!
This is by far one of the best properties we've rented- an amazing use of space, beautifully appointed with wall art and lovely furnishings. Quiet property, direct ATV trail access, firepit, ample parking for the ATV trailer. Bedrooms on three separate floors, offering a level of privacy not often found in this size home.
This is the second time we had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful home. It was perfect once again. It is clean, comfortable and well stocked. Check in is also a breeze. Thank you.
