This is a great little cabin to stay, super close to the lake. Literally walk off the deck and your in the sand and water. The deck is great as its huge and a great place to sit and enjoy morning coffe or sit and watch the sun go down if your not out on the dock.the cabin itself is nice, a little tight when there is a handfull of you but really who spends that much time inside. All the neighbors are friendly and make for a nice stay. The mountain of stairs is the roughest part but you can bypass that when you see the view.
Great location, but unit is old, tired & not terribly clean. Can’t beat the price or the view. We cleaned all the goose sh*t off the boat dock..had my coffee out there each morning & our pontoon boat rental fit perfectly in it.
The unit is small, as is the kitchen, but all about value here. Stairs from road down to unit can be dangerous, so watch your step.
If you want fancy, keep looking…if you want low cost in great neighborhood, this one for you.
Overall the stay was very enjoyable! As others have stated, the stairs are not for people with mobility issues but it wasn’t as terrible as I expected. We had walmart deliver some groceries and we gave a nice tip to have them brought down. They had floaties blown up and ready to go as well as 3 kayaks which we REALLY enjoyed! We had a fire two nights of our stay but had to buy our own logs. The owners apparently do not guarantee wood for each guest. The host did inform me they had some Presto Logs on site and they did, however I assume they were old and weathered because they wouldn’t light. Communication from the host was great before and during our stay. There is a doc but we didnt use it because it has been taken over by various gangs of geese who fight over it all day. Its also covered in goose poop and there is so much seaweed that none of us would swim in that eater anyway. We used the beach though to float in floaties or do a little snorkeling but this isn’t the water for jumping off a doc or fully submerging in the deep water unless you enjoy seaweed. Inside was nice and comfortable. One fan was available and there is air conditioning. Tupperware would have been nice to store leftovers or at least functional saran wrap. The saran wrap there was a mess and clearly many guests before us struggled with it as well. Overall it was a nice spot to get away, dip your toes, and relax with the ones you love!
Sound built (no squeaking floors/doors) quaint bungalow with amazing lake view and wonderful dock. AC and fans kept wonderfully cool despite >100 degrees.
Over 100 steep steps to get to the property requires a SURE foot and aerobic tolerance--but worth the effort (outside lighting needs to be better identified). Advise guests to pack in small carry items vs large luggage until a dumb waiter can be added.
Functional kitchen (basic condiments/spices would be much appreciated considering the hike up and down stairs with extra groceries).
Recommend removal of the logs to reduce the flocks of duck and geese that pollute the otherwise fantastic waterfront and beach.
The grounds are highly unkept. My 70 year old grandfather fell when one of your steps broke. He fell onto a piece of rebar and had been injured. There are a multitude of problems with this site. The steps are broken in multiple places, the trees are over growing the property(so much so that you have to duck under tree branches), the shower head is broken so it will fall onto your head while in the shower, the interior siding is partially ripped off the wall in the bathroom, there's bird poop all over the dock(not a huge deal this time of year). The only noce part of this place is the view.

Lake Cabin
This property needs some serious TLC. They warned us that there were a lot of stairs but they did not tell us that many of the stairs were dangerously in disrepair. We arrived in the evening after a 9 hour drive. The house was musty and cobwebs were everywhere on the outside and some on the inside.
The beds were squeaky and hard and the walls were paper thin. We noticed after using the restroom that it sounded like water was leaking, but we were too tired to investigate.
In the morning, we noticed that there was a lot of water coming from the bathroom and had made a large puddle behind the cabin. We were concerned about mold.
There was no coffee or supplies of any kind.
We called the property manager, Kyle, and told him our concerns about the stairs and the potentially broken pipe. He told us the listing is priced accordingly. Basically that you get what you paid for. But did offer to cancel the rest of our stay and they would get a plumber out to the property to check it out.
We checked out 12 hours after we got there and got 3 of the 4 days of our booked stay, refunded.
To say were displeased with the cabin is an understatement.
The house is at a great location, right by the river but that is the only good thing about this place. It is a really old cabin and is in terrible state. It has a long flight of stairs from the parking space to reach the cabin. The steps are in bad shape and not all are stable. If you decide to book this place, i would recommend travelling only with light bags. Carrying a suitcase up and down the steps was horrible. The patio is in terrble state and doesnt even look stable. They expect you to wash utensils and bedsheets which is weird!! The cabin doesnt even have a dish washer. We left a 3 night booking in just one night. I donot recommend this place. It needs mending and upgrades.
