The living room is large and open to the kitchen. Downstairs has a good sized family room for the kids to hang out too! This home has been recently thoughtfully updated and is ready for vacations! Features Easy beach access 2 TVs/DVD (expanded cable with HBO/Showtime) WIFI Drip Coffee Pot and Keurig Spacious kitchen Propane BBQ Propane Fireplace Pet friendly Parking for 2 Vehicles 4 Beach Chairs provided and a Corn hole Game Lots of Restaurants and a Grocery Store nearby in Pacific City Quiet, Peaceful Beach Layout: Bottom level entry bedroom with queen bed, 2nd bedroom with king bed and full hall bath. Also downstairs has family room/rec room with futon and trundle twin beds for additional sleeping. Middle level has spacious open kitchen leading to a large deck with a peekaboo view of the ocean and protection from the ocean breezes. Neighborhood: Tierra Del Mar is a small community of homes 3 miles north of Pacific City on Sandlake Road. Tierra Del Mar is on the Three Cape Scenic Route, off of Hwy 101\. The low bank tranquil beach has views from Haystack Rock to Cape Lookout. This is a favorite place for locals and visitors alike. We had a great time at this location. We spent Thanksgiving here. We brought the whole meal with us which went smoothly with the large kitchen and refrigerator space. The only downside was that the double ovens were actually quite small and our roasting pan for the turkey did not fit. Thankfully there was a roasting pan provided in the pantry that our turkey just barely fit in. It all worked out though and our meal was great! It was so nice to sit at the dining table during meals and watch the waves roll in. The beach was just a short walk out the door. Very quiet and nice people all around. The house was very roomy. Plenty of room for our group to move around and spread out. The beds were very comfortable, plenty of bedding for everyone. One thing I would change is the bottom floor bathroom with a bathtub has doors that are hard to manage and are awkward to get around when trying to bathe a toddler. The only disappointment for us was that the main suite was only accessible via a spiral staircase, which was too steep for our dog. The main room and kitchen are very nice, and the kitchen was very well appointed. We also appreciate that there were supplies such as foil, zip lock bags, etc. The price was very good as well. Pros: location, physical space of the home, 3 full bathrooms and new fridge/cooktop/dishwasher. Cons: dirty carpet on stairs, chairlift on stairs, heating/thermostat issues, awkward shower enclosure for the only tub, uncomfortable seating/living room furniture, uncomfortable beds/pillows, no cell phone service combined with slow internet connection. This house is truly about the location- being just steps away from the beach access and a 1 min walk to the beach. Also since it’s located outside of town, the beach was practically deserted the majority of the time. Issues/suggestions to owners: remove the chairlift and dirty carpet on the stairs as it was quite difficult and dangerous to navigate the narrow space. The house seemed to produce its own heat staying between 69° -73° at all times even with the windows open and the fan running and heat off. Remove the awkward folding doors on the only tub in the house- trying to bath a toddler is frustrating and difficult. Invest in better mattresses and pillows- a vacation home for this price should have quality and comfortable beds and pillows. Buy a sectional for the couch- the one couch was extremely narrow and not comfortable for more than one person. We don’t mind not having cell phone service but that in combination with slow internet speeds made it almost impossible to use our phones or stream anything. ##### Elizabeth P. We absolutely loved the time we spent at Casa Del Mar. Steps away from the most pristine, quiet, beautiful beach in the state, the house is great for a weekend escape to the coast. The kitchen appliances are a trip--there's even a mid-century Crock Pot with the original recipe book AND handwritten notes on favored dishes. The fireplace is lovely, and my teenagers really appreciated having their own space--but what made this stay so great was the management at Kiwanda Coastal Properties. We have done both big vacation rental outfits and small ones (we try to stay local) but KCP is HANDS DOWN the best, kindest, friendliest group of people I've ever met. From the moment we checked in (they called to see if we wanted to come out early!) to the moment we checked out of the house, they were so welcoming and kind. (Extra shoutout to Craig, who was so sweet at check-in and offered us some awesome tips about food and activities in the area!) The beach was beautiful .. The only complaint was the description stated beach chairs available under stairs outside however it was locked and property managers told me they had no key .. I did not bring my chairs from home so this was a big bummer since we love sitting on the beach ..also there was a terrible wind storm one night and the front door seal is worn out and the noise from the wind was terrible so it should be replaced and the door readjusted.. ##### Brooke g. It was so spacious—everyone could easily spread out and have their own space if needed. And the fact that it was so close to the ocean was amazing, just a short walk over the dune and we were there! It had everything we could possibly need, lots of towels, blankets, everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen. Beach chairs under the deck and games in the cupboards were great extras too. The big deck was perfect for lounging out in the fresh sea air. Beds were all comfortable—yay for the two king beds!—and we appreciated the twin trundle in the downstairs tv room for our two younger boys. Everything was very clean, comfy and tastefully decorated. The house is a little dated but very well kept, the beds are comfortable, the TV and internet great and the distance to the beach is mere steps! The location is fabulous and we will certainly be looking to book again for our family of 5 and two labs. It's super close to the beach and also has an amazing beach view. There's plenty of cooking supplies, glasses, dishes, towels, sheets, etc. for six people. Has a large kitchen and living area. There were views of the ocean from the 2nd and top floor. Other than the rickety spiral staircase and the fireplace not working (management was notified but nothing was done) our stay was wonderful. Excellent access to beach; out the door, down the path and voila! House kitted with extras of everything; cookware, dishware, glassware, towels, pillows, throws, games, books, puzzles.... the list goes on and on. Older home with great character. Not new. Unfortunately, it is very outdated. The appliances look to be from the 70's and the oven took 2 to 3 times the normal amount to cook anything. The dryer does a very poor job drying clothes, towels or sheets. Most of the towels in the house are stained and should be updated as well. With all this said, we were able to have a great time but for the money expected a bit more. ##### Greg M. We would stay here again. Only complaint is you have to go to an office in pacific city to get keys and drop off keys. We had multiple nights where we were the only people on the beach. The house was clean. The appliances are very dated but they all worked so no complaints there. The house could use some updating all around but we enjoyed it.
