"We stayed during the week and it was so quiet and private yet in the middle of an area that has tons to do. Close to beaches to walk the shore, restaurants, etc. We had great food on the property and enjoy the pool and grounds. Will return! "

"First of all, Michael at the front desk was excellent. Polite, professional and very informative. All staff interactions were very pleasant. My love, Dave Gleason and I have come here this week for the last 4 years to celebrate our anniversary and it never ever disappoints. This was the first year we had a walk-out courtyard room and it was amazing. The door is a little difficult to slide but it's an old hotel after all. The location is perfection. "The room was very nice and the ocean view was as advertised. We only stayed one night, but if we are ever back in Newport for a longer visit, this is the place we will be looking to stay. The only minor hiccup was that the room was not ready at 4:00, but the area is nice and we walked on the Cliff Walk for a bit until the room was ready. We enjoyed the breakfast which had a good variety of choices. All in all, this is a charming location with an acomodating staff and we very much enjoyed our stay."
