"After a long drive, the Kimpton Schofield was a welcome sight. We opted for the overnight valet parking, and it was a worthwhile expense. The valet staff was helpful and made the check-in process smooth. We used the drink tickets we received at the hotel's restaurant, Betts. The food was surprisingly good, and the live music and bar with sports on were a nice bonus after staying at some less-than-stellar places off the highway. The beds were a definite highlight—very comfortable linens. They also treated our dog very well, which is always a plus. The complimentary morning coffee was a nice touch, too. Being downtown, there were some obvious downsides. The street noise from motorcycles was loud, a problem the hotel seems to be aware of, judging by the white noise machine and earplugs provided. More notably, the immediate area had a distinct, unpleasant odor, particularly of urine, and there was a sizable homeless population. While I didn't feel unsafe during the daytime, it's something to be aware of."

"A very inviting and comfortable hotel within walking distance of the city’s top attractions, nightlife and public transportation. Although there is a restaurant, I didn’t have time to try it. Nice little bar with a welcoming bartender, Chuck. Staff is top notch: helpful, friendly and always visible. Given that I make annual visits to Cleveland, I think I found a home away from home. "

"Comfortable beds and loved our room! The breakfast was always delicious and staff was great at keeping the area clean. We loved that there was an ice machine and filtered water dispenser right off the lobby so we could refill our water bottles. Highly recommend this hotel! "
