Hyatt Regency Cleveland At The Arcade

"Call before you book your stay to make sure they don't have any weddings or other events,they restrict your access to the bottom floors ,they also put my husband and I in a lower floored room where we could hear all the noise and music from the weddings,until 12am, I was very unhappy with this choice of room that we were given,we were not here for the wedding, we had traveled all day ,we wanted to rest our first night so we could enjoy our plans for the rest of the weekend, when I complained that we would like to be switched to a less noisy room they did not accommodate our first night request, this was only the first unpleasant thing, the second day whe we returned from being out all day we returned to an uncleaned room. This was not acceptable, so it took me 2 times to complain until we were given a room away from the 2 events that took place on that weekend. We will never stay at this hotel again, even though it is close to most things in downtown, we will always look at other options in the area, there were many others. Its very upsetting that our concerns were not met until we had to repeatedly complain, it seemed that they were only concerned with the wedding parties and their guests rather than the other people staying there. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. You can go there to take pictures because the inside Arcade area is very unique but don't waste your time staying here. The rooms are old ,not what its all hiped to be. The valet guys were awesome tho"

"Room was clean and the breakfast was delicious, but, this wasn’t the experience I expect of a Kimpton. Clearly understaffed. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived and no one offered us so much as a coffee while we waited. The room was fine but nothing special, very noisy second floor room right next to the elevator with a bed that was not a full King. I asked to be moved to a quieter room but was told “no at the rate you paid” despite the fact I had paid for a nice King room. We wanted to have a night cap at the bar but it was covered in dirty drinks so we sat at a table, not served, for 15 min. Right next to the bar. When I went to the bar to ask for a drink I was told if I wanted table service I had to go back over to the host (no one was at the host stand) and wait to be seated. We just left. When I went back 15 minutes later to get a drink to take up to my room the bar was still covered in empty dirty glasses. In the morning we waited a long time to be seated for breakfast and to be served. We came to have a nice stay for our anniversary and it was was a huge disappointment."

"I would recommend staying away from this particular facility. The receptionist was unhelpful, rude, and not personable. The coffee maker in the room leaked and did not work properly. Additionally, the phone in the room was not functioning and did not even have a dial tone to contact the front desk."

"The staff were great and the price was fantastic! Breakfast was grab and go, and there was nothing much worth grabbing. Our room smelled terrible, like body odor, the floors were so sticky, and we found a large empty liquor bottle that housekeeping missed. In spite of the cleanliness, we do appreciate the friendliness of the staff."

"The price was affordable so long as you book during a week day, if you book during the weekend you’re going to be paying way more than the you should considering the quality of this hotel. That said, the bed and linens (towels) were comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly professional and helpful. The main reason I’m not giving this stay a 5 out of 5 is due to the overall cleanliness of the rooms and common areas. The carpet in my room was very gross, and quite frankly the entire hotel’s carpeting is in need of replacement or at the very least deep cleaning. The entire hotel has a very strong mildew smell, and it’s very humid in all the common areas, which is almost certainly contributing to the smell. The pool was supposed to be heated but was cold so I skipped a swim. It didn’t appear to me that any of the floors in the room were cleaned more than just sweeping and I could see hair in the corners of the floor in the bathroom. The lobby and tile flooring in front of the elevators needed to be scrubbed mopped with bleach. The last issue was the stairwells, they smell like cigarettes and during different trips up or down the had trash in them (that a guest clearly left). I know it’s sort of out of the hands to prevent guests from littering, but I wanted to mention this but it’s not affecting my star review as this isn’t directly the hotel’s fault. TLDR: Overall I would recommend, based on pricing and staff. Needs deep cleaned with bleach and resolve mildew issues."
