The extra long table was great for board games and shared meals for our group of 8\. The kids loved the bunk bed set up. The property was very quiet and had almost everything you’d need. The only thing was that there is no AC and with all the fans going, it was very difficult to air out and cool down even into the late evening hours. The house certainly has the things you need in terms of serving wares and toys/games which is nice. While the posting is certainly accurate in describing its proximity to the lake, later in the summer when the water is low, it's quite a walk to get to the water's edge and the path from the house takes you by a not inconsiderable pile of trash, which was pretty disheartening to see. The site does make it seem like the lake is closer to the house than it is. Don't get me wrong, it is super close, but the trail is a bit tight and steep, especially with kids or packing anything. Much easier to just drive over to Steeyli Beach Access and just drive onto the beach. Luckily we had a good vehicle for sand travel. The house was great though and had all that we needed for a couple day stay. It did get very hot so be prepared to turn on the fans and open the windows at night! This property is nothing like it seems. The trail to beach is non existent with heavy equipment on beach blocking your trail down. It is not secluded which it seems in picture. You are actually in a HOA with houses on your side of you. The cleaning was definitely not dove dirt on floor and chairs and everything covered in dust. Too bad for my daughter’s special getaway. We were not able to enjoy lake since everywhere else is private property heading down. Stayed 2 nights in Feb 2023 ### 10/10 Excellent #### John D. 19 Feb 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Winter weekend getaway We are six friends that have worked together for years and have been making an annual pilgrimage from the Puget Sound area to Central Washington to attend the fun Ellensburg Winterhop brewfest. This was our second year staying at the Peak-a-View Lake House and we couldn't be more pleased. There were comfy beds for each of us and one of us even brought his dog along. We took turns cooking in the exceptionally well stocked kitchen, and even had a nice fire in the outdoor fire pit. I hope the house is still available next year. ##### John D. Yearly family gatherings started for us a couple years ago and every year we try a new place. This is at the top of our list. Very close to the lake, every night we used the firepit, enough beds so we didn't have to share, large kitchen and table for all of us. It was perfect. Thank you! ##### Leilani A. Just 4 miles from Cascade Rentals. Great cosy cabin with lots of beds for friends and family. Plenty of dishes for everyone. Kitchen we'll stocked with cooking pans. Wonderful fireplace to warm up the cabin. The hosts provided shampoo samples and soap. There were enough towels for everyone. We had a wonderful time! ##### Andrea K. Our weekend getaway was delightful—... We have been curious about exploring this area in Washington. Our weekend getaway was delightful—we played on the property, took short walks to the lake, soaked in the epic mountain views, and explored the local towns of Rosalyn and Cle Elum. You never know what to expect from a cabin, but it was super clean, fresh, and cozy. Love a home with a big dining table. We cooked multiple meals while enjoying a few meals out too. Our kids loved the bunk room and have not stopped talking about the coolest built-in beds! Mud room was spacious and it was great to toss our boots, coats, and beanies in that area before entering the living space. We look forward to returning to play in the snow and hopefully, see the lake in the summer. ##### Thao G. ---
