This bungalow is adorable, cozy, comfortable, and is perfectly located for what we needed. The owner obviously takes pride in this property and has created a home away from home. We will definitely be staying here again when visiting family.

The bungalow was cozy and charming, with all the modern amenities we needed. As a published decorator, I especially appreciated the thoughtful aesthetics and attention to detail. My husband and I have visited Clayton several times, but this trip we wanted to stay closer to downtown and we loved it! The location was perfect, just a short and easy drive into town with no steep roads, and the wide driveway made parking a breeze. Despite being so convenient, the bungalow still felt very private, nestled among tall trees with beautiful garden views. I especially loved relaxing on the porch. We would definitely love to come back and stay here again!

Perfect Bungalow

The bungalow is as advertised including the well-done landscaping. It provided a truly relaxing experience. The host was great to work with, and we are already planning a return trip next year.

This beautiful cottage is exactly as described and even better. It is not only the hidden garden cottage but it is a hidden gem as well. The cottage is nestled in a quiet neighborhood conveniently located to downtown Clayton, yet it feels like you are far away from everything. The nights were quiet—the morning front porch swing was the perfect cozy coffee/tea sippin’ location. The furnishings and amenities were exceptional. Spotlessly clean, well maintained and well appointed for our needs. You can tell the hosts are invested in creating exceptional stays. Well done! We will be back!!

Wonderful cottage

The cottage was even better than its description! My daughter and I enjoyed a long weekend here. The decor was beautiful and Laurie had thought of everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Secret Garden Bungalow is a Hidden Gem!

This was my second stay at the secret garden. Laurie is a great host and is very responsive.The location is perfect..close to great hiking, beautiful waterfalls, wineries and wonderful restaurants. The cottage is very comfortable, a nice retreat for soaking in the beauty of being surrounded by your own personal garden, relaxing on the porch and being serenaded by the sights and sounds of nature. We look forward to returning again!

Perfect Fall Getaway

We had a wonderful at this artsy inspired cottage. It was the perfect mix of mountain cabin with all the amenities of downtown Clayton just minutes away. The host was wonderful at meeting our needs and communicating with us.

Our secret garden house

We first came to this home in winter and it was lovely…but the garden enticed us to come back when everything was in bloom…it did not disappoint! We enjoyed visiting and board games outside and lounged on the swing to read my book. It will not disappoint! We will be back!

The perfect getaway!

We loved our stay at The Secret Garden Bungalow! It was close to downtown but still felt like a getaway. Very clean, great screened in porch, and the fire pit was a great place to relax in the evenings. We will definitely return!

Great visit to Clayton

Loved this cute, cozy bungalow! It was super clean and quiet. Access was easy with a great location close to town. Communication about checkin and checkout was helpful. Laurie thought of everything to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. We hope to return!

Wonderful Anniversary Weekend!

My husband and I loved our weekend getaway to Clayton. The bungalow was exactly as listed. It’s a very cozy and comfortable place. Loved the extra touches like the local artwork, the gas fireplace, and the porch swing! We would definitely stay here again.

In-law suite

This is such a cozy little place. It was perfect for extra room for some out-of-town family for the holidays. Nicely appointed with the comforts of home as well. Close to downtown Clayton and centrally located for any activities you would want to do. Definitely saving this property for future use.

Downtown and Cozy

My sister and I flew in for a 50k fall race. This place was perfect for us to rest and relax afterwards. The attention to detail and cleanliness of this property made all the difference. We spent most of our time under cozy blankets on the front porch! This property is in a great location and close to the downtown strip, but still tucked away and nice and cozy.

The Secret Garden delivers!

Lovely cottage and garden within 10 minutes of walking time to town, which has plenty of great shops, restaurants and bars. The kitchen was big! for the size house, and it was well equipped with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, and it was nice having the 2 bedrooms with their own en suite. Favorite area was the screen porch with the most inviting nap swing and a cocktail table with rockers to talk about the days activities. Outdoor dining was a bonus. We couldn’t have been more pleased and look forward to returning to Laurie’s secret garden in the mountains. And Laurie? She was just the best; professional, responsive, and most helpful with lots of great recommendations in the area.

There is nothing not perfect about this rental, except that you have to leave. Its beautiful, serene, and comfy. The place is exactly as pictured, the host is above and beyond attentive to detail and responsive once there if any issues. No one will leave dissatisfied, all will not want to leave EVER, lol.
