It is a great hotel for the price. Yes, the room needs renovation but the location is great. The rooftop bar is better the the City Garden Grand hotel and I’m Hotel that are across the street. The breakfast is fantastic. It is better than the City Garden Grand hotel in taste and quality. Compared to I’m Hotel. More selection and choices. Overall, the front desk staff is very professional unlike St. Giles hotel that is next to City Garden Makita hotel. St. Giles front desk staff are unprofessional when you have an issue with hotel such breakfast being charged when it should be included when you booked. Also, charge on towel and bedsheet when there are minor stain already there. St. Giles does not accept any blames in their policy. Whereas City Garden Makita will try to resolve issues when arise.Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very disappointing stay. The room had an excessive moisture and mold problem, and unfortunately this was not just an issue with the room itself. During my stay, mold developed on a significant amount of my clothes and personal belongings that were kept in the room.
I have photos and videos documenting the mold on my belongings as well as the condition of the room. This caused considerable damage to my personal items and was extremely concerning from a hygiene and health perspective.
I contacted the relevant parties to report the issue and requested assistance, including a refund, but the response was disappointing. I was told that because my reservation was non-refundable, they could not provide a refund without the hotel’s approval.
I understand that non-refundable bookings have restrictions, but I don’t believe that should be the only consideration when a room has serious moisture and mold issues that result in damage to a guest’s belongings.
Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience, and I would strongly recommend that the property address its moisture, ventilation, and mold problems properly before having guests stay in affected rooms.
