Safe to say this one was by the far the worst, and no other hotel came close to being as bad. The staff were rude and unfriendly, my room hadn’t been cleaned efficiently (there was hairs in the bed and a pair of socks the last guest must of left), and the room had a terrible smell. I was travelling alone here so grabbed food at local places and brought it back to eat, which resulted in creating a different smell from the rubbish as no cleaner came the whole time I was there. On the last day I was there, late in the afternoon someone banged hard on the door and within a second was trying to get into the room. The bathroom was right next to the door and I was undressing to take a shower. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone if they can avoid it. I flew to NYC after staying here and only paid $200 more than what I paid for at Tru, and that was not only a better experience but also a longer stay. Very old Hollywood. Recently stayed for a weekend. The staff was lovely. The Valet service was spectacular. The room was spotless clean. The bathrooms are lovely. I will say the shower is small but worked for what it was needed for. Mattress and pillow were comfortable. Old world charm at it's finest. The restaurant, which we had breakfast, had a great selection of food. There is an adorable pool table room and library off of the lobby that is inviting and relaxing. The people at the front desk on check in and check out were outstanding. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
