In the beautiful scenery of Valle d'Itria, about 2 km. from the town of Cisternino and a few kilometers from the sea, there is 'Trullo Saettone', a stone structure composed of a trullo and a lamia, lost among the centuries-old olive trees and immersed in uncontaminated nature, among holm oak and oak trees, arbutus trees , lavender and rosemary and other plants of the Mediterranean scrub, rural sheep tracks to be traveled by bicycle or on foot, specchie and stone walls in stone. Recently restored and furnished with care, the owner has cleverly created, around the central cone of the trullo, used as a living room, some rooms for kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and closet; the small lamia, near the trullo, in the past used for the shelter of animals of the low court, has a bedroom, bathroom and a cooking area. Just few minutes drive from the city center. The good news is that, thinking it had wi-fi , we rented it--and we are so glad we did! It is a lovely turro, in a beautiful setting amidst groves of olive trees, with the most gracious and accommodating host you could ask for. Le trullo et le jardin sont aménagés avec beaucoup de goût. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la grande terrasse et la tranquillité des lieux, ainsi que l'accueil chaleureux de Francesco, le propriétaire. De plus, l'endroit est idéalement situé pour visiter la région, dans la campagne parsemée d'oliviers et de trulli de la vallée d'Itria et à quelques kilomètres seulement de la côte Adriatique. Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt. Das Trullo liegt ziemlich abseits am Ende einer Straße, so dass man jederzeit ungestört war. Es muss einem klar sein, dass man - auch aufgrund der Bauweise - keinen großen Komfort erwarten kann. Es gibt zum Beispiel keinen TV und keine Geschirrspülmaschine. Das WLAN ist gut, der Handyempfang eher schlecht. Alles insgesamt eine gute Voraussetzung, um wirklich zur Ruhe zu kommen. Der Trullo ist sehr konfortabel eingerichtet, mit viel Platz, Allem was man braucht, sauber, hell. Die Küche ist grosszügig eingerichtet und konfortabel. Es hat genügend Geschirr und Besteck. Das Badzimmer ist gross und liebevoll eingerichtet. Im Trullo hat es viel Material für Ausflügen und Aktivitäten. Der Aussenbereich ist sehr gross, schön in einem Olivenhaim eingebettet, mit gutem Sitzplatz und Grill. Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt, mit Blumen und Bäumen. Der Trullo ist sehr ruhig, da er weit von Strassen und Autobahn ist. Nachbarschaften sind weit weg! Die Stadt Cisternino ist super gelegen, da es in guter Reichweite weitere sehr schöne Städte gibt: Cisternino selber, Locorotondo, Alberobello, Ostuni, Polignano Mare, Monopoli, Taranto, Martina Franca. Wir waren auch in Matera und Lecce, auch gut erreichbar in einem Tag. Alles in Allem: Super Ferien! Francesco war sehr engagiert, damit unser Aufenthalt reibungslos verlief, brachte Öl, Wein und Gebäck vorbei, kümmerte sich um unsere 'Abfälle'. Leider stimmten die Angaben über das Haus nicht. Das versprochene zweite Zimmer in einem zweiten Häuschen Lamia wurde uns vom Vermieter zwar gezeigt, der Zugang aber verwehrt. Ich buche seit 40 Jahren Ferienhäuser. So etwas ist mir noch nie passiert. Nun begann ein zeitaufwendiges und bürokratisches Verhandeln mit Fewo-Direkt. Erst nach Tagen erklärte sich Fewo-Direkt bereit, den vom Vermieter geforderten Aufpreis von 20 Euro pro Tag für das zweite Zimmer zu bezahlen. Dann wurde uns das zweite Zimmer hergerichtet. Nach viel Zeit und Ärger haben wir nun fast das bekommen, was wir gemietet haben. Fewo Direkt hat uns dann doch geholfen, was in Ordnung ist. Die Service-Mitarbeiterin war engagiert und kundenorientiert. Trotzdem ist es ein Ärgernis, dass mit falschen Angaben geworben wurde. Denn nicht nur das zweite Zimmer war zunächst für uns verschlossen. Es gibt in dem Haus auch keine Spülmaschine, wie das behauptet wurde. Und das Sofa entpuppte sich als ungemütliche Liege, die genauso hart ist wie alle Betten in diesem Objekt. Das Hauptbett ist hart wie ein Brett, was kein Wunder ist, liegt der Futon doch ohne Lattenrost auf einem Brett. Wir sind jeden Morgen mit Schulterschmerzen aufgewacht. Es ist so schade: Obwohl Haus und Garten schön und ruhig gelegen sind, raten wir davon ab, das Haus zu mieten. ##### Stefan S. Wir (2 Erwachsene, 1 Hund) durften herrliche14 Tage in diesem sehr gut ausgestatteten, behaglichen Trullo verbringen. Der weitläufige, liebevoll gestaltete Garten bietet viele Wohlfühloasen. Angenehm und sehr freundlich war der Kontakt mit unserem kompetenten Vermieter Francesco. Die Anlage ist bestens geeignet für Urlauber, die die Abgeschiedenheit vom Trubel genießen und als Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung des lieblichen Itria-Tales nutzen wollen. ##### Herwig P. Das Grundstück ist einfach ein Traum. Am Ende einer Sackgasse, absolute Ruhe garantiert (wir hatten allerdings das Glück zur Zeit der Baumarbeiten im Frühjahr dort zu sein und es gab recht viel Lärm durch die Sägearbeiten). Der Garten ist wunderschön angelegt und auch das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wandern und Fahrradfahren direkt vom Haus möglich, zum Mittelmeer sind es ca. 30 Minuten. Vielen Dank Francesco, dass wir Gäste sein durften! ##### Susanne K. L'annonce et les photos sont tout à fait le reflet de ce que nous avons trouvé à notre arrivée. Schitterend in parkachtige setting tussen de olijfbomen met volop privacy gelegen trullo met hedendaags comfort. De eigenaar is behulpzaam en verraste ons diverse keren met een goedgevulde welkomstmand, lekker gebak en afscheidscadeautje. Prachtige, authentieke omgeving. Hier ervaar je Puglia optimaal! Francesco ist ein sehr aufmerksamer, großzügiger und zuvorkommender Gastgeber und sein Trullo mit dem wunderbar gestalteten und gepflegten Garten eine wahre Freude. Es war der perfekte Ort für unseren Familienurlaub. Der großzüge Garten lud die Kinder auf Entdeckungsreisen ein und wir konnten durch die schattige Terrasse den ganzen Tag dort verbringen. Ein sehr liebevoll eingerichteter Trullo, mit allem, was man braucht und sehr sauber. Der Vermieter ist sehr sympathisch und wir haben uns herzlich empfangen gefühlt. Cisternino hat außerdem einen sehr schönen Stadtkern, der besonders ab 20 Uhr dazu einlädt durch die Gassen zu ziehen und dem regen Treiben zuzuschauen. Es war der perfekte Urlaub, 3 Wochen waren schon fast zu kurz. ##### Daniela K. Francesco est un hôte charmant, attentionné et disponible malgré notre arrivée tardive. C'est un endroit idéal pour rayonner dans toute la région des Pouilles Grazie mille Francesco. Thank you for sharing such a unique and lovely property! The Trullo is set apart at the end of a small road - only about a mile or so from Cisternino - ie happy walk back after a lovely long lunch. Set in such lovely surroundings between olive trees, wild flowers and a more established garden, it is the ideal place for a peaceful retreat. We had hired a car so travelled each day throughout southern Italy sampling the delights of the region and would recommend anyone do the same - there is so much to see and enjoy.
