The location of Stewart’s house is great- in a quiet olive grove but minutes from Cisternino which is lovely and full of excellent places to eat. Plus 39 mins drive to Adriatic coast which is unspoiled - not a high rise or package hotel in sight. An hour or so the other way is the Ionian coast, also lovely.One word of warning, the entrance to the lane is quite tight so a small car is easiest - but we managed with the huge SUV the rental firm gave us and the water truck driver manages fine!
