❤️ What I Love About Doctor’s Retreat — and Why You’ll Love Staying Here
What makes Doctor’s Retreat stand out is the combination of walkability, space, a private hot tub, and beautiful historic character.
You're staying in a true Northern Kentucky neighborhood where you can walk just a few blocks into downtown Bellevue for restaurants, coffee, drinks, shopping, and local favorites—then return to a spacious 4-bedroom home where everyone has room to relax. And after a day exploring Bellevue, Newport, or Cincinnati, there's nothing better than coming home and slipping into the private hot tub.
Inside, the original hardwood floors, rich natural woodwork, stained glass, pocket doors, and architectural details give the house the character of a historic Cincinnati-area home while updated furnishings and amenities provide the comfort you want on vacation.
Whether you're planning a family vacation, couples trip, Cincinnati weekend, wedding weekend, sporting event, concert, business trip, or Northern Kentucky getaway, Doctor's Retreat puts you close to the action without requiring you to stay in the middle of downtown.
📍 Living Room
The inviting living room gives everyone a comfortable place to gather after exploring the city. Settle into the comfortable seating, stream your favorites on the Smart TV, or simply enjoy the home's beautiful original hardwood floors and woodwork. It's a warm, character-filled space that feels distinctly different from a typical hotel or newer apartment.
📍 Private Hot Tub
The private outdoor hot tub is one of the home's biggest perks.
After walking Bellevue, attending a Bengals or Reds game, exploring Cincinnati, or spending the day sightseeing, come home and unwind in the bubbling hot tub.
It's an amenity you'll appreciate year-round—from cool fall evenings and winter Cincinnati getaways to relaxing summer nights.

📍 4 Private Bedrooms
One of the home's biggest advantages is having 4 actual bedrooms, making it a great choice for families, couples traveling together, and groups who value private sleeping spaces.
The bedroom setup includes multiple king beds, along with additional queen and twin sleeping accommodations.
The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable while retaining the beautiful hardwood floors, original trim, and character found throughout the home.

We enjoyed our stay at the Doctors House! The house itself was wonderful, nicely furnished, and comfortable. Check in was smooth and amenities were well-described. Location was FANTASTIC! Great little neighborhoods to explore. Only issue was that several of us had skin rash after using the hot tub - there was an ammonia smell and the chemicals seemed off. We were assured that it was checked before we got there, but 3 of us had the same rash. Other than that, we had a lovely stay and would return again in a heartbeat!
Small confusion upon arrival at property. There were two lock boxes visible to the side of the door. Neither work. It was only when I opened the outer door that I discovered the lock that actually works.Overall, the property was very clean, well appointed, good location, and good value for the price. Would book again.
This home was an excellent choice for our family coming from 3 directions. The neighborhood was walkable to restaurants and coffee shops. The hot tub and bonus area in the basement gave us plenty of room to spread out.
The house was great. It was clean. Communicating with the host was so easy and the host was very helpful throughout the whole process. Would 100% stay here again.
Stayed at this property with a few buddies from high school for weekend reunion in Cincy. Nice property. My only 1st world complaint: wish the bathrooms had counters instead of pedestal sinks so we had a place to set our toiletries. Convenient location to downtown Cincy and quaint little neighborhood.
Our family recently stayed at this property for a wedding, and it was great. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out, play games, watch movies, etc. It was great being able to have a kitchen to cook in. The beds were all very comfortable. We loved the old charm of the house. The home felt in a safe area, although it was on a main street, but this also meant very convenient to everything we did in the area, on the Kentucky side, as well as driving 2 miles to Cincinatti. It had easy freeway access as well to grocery stores, etc. There are a lot of cute stores just down the road on that main street as well. We loved our stay, and would definitely stay there again! The host was great at communicating and responding, very helpful.
This home was gorgeous! The host was wonderfully helpful, kind, and prompt to reply to any questions we had. They were amazing !The home was so comfortable and spacious. It had a beautiful old world charm with lovely modern touches and comforts. The front door was so beautiful, and we loved relaxing in the hot tub on the back deck after long days of walking and exploring Cincinnati. Our older daughter enjoyed having her own space in the lovely finished basement. The upstairs bedrooms were wonderful and cozy with lots of space. The area around the home was also amazing! It was very walkable with many great restaurants and shops nearby. It was also a quick drive to everything we wanted to explore in Cincinnati. It was a perfect and relaxing stay. We were so sad to leave, and are hoping to visit again. Don't hesitate to book. You will love staying here.
Our family absolutely loved our stay at The Doctor’s House. The bedrooms were spacious & comfortable- perfect accommodations for our 1st vacation with adult kids & spouses. The home itself was beautiful inside - so much character & history! Lots of natural light. We appreciated the number of bathrooms & fantastic dining room table where all of us could share dinner & play games. We enjoyed the restaurants & coffee shops within walking distance, and Newport Aquarium was less than a 10-minute drive. We would be happy to stay here again on another visit to Cincinnati! We will also tell friends about this hidden gem.
Beautiful home in the coolest little neighborhood. Close to attractions and walking distance to foods, taverns and boutique type shops. Safe and friendly area. Our teen boys enjoyed being able to walk around without chaperoning. We travel to Cinci area frequently and would definitely consider booking again. Communication was excellent, check in and out was super easy. 5 stars for the Doctor’s Retreat- which has a great story behind its name.
Host communication was great. Lovely older home with a lot of charm in a nice neighborhood. Lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance. House was very clean. Would definitely recommend.
The location of the house was perfect for our vacation to Cincinnati. There is so much to do for families in the Cincinnati and northern Kentucky area. I would highly recommend this property if you don’t want to stay in downtown Cincinnati, but yet be close enough for all the attractions.
We were in town to watch our son play baseball. Property was as advertised and communication was excellent. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area!
