Charming mountain house

Welcome home!
Happy Home is a charming village house in the heart of the pretty village of Cierp-Gaud where relaxation and tranquility are guaranteed! The street is very little trafficked, the view from the windows of the bedrooms is breathtaking!
Completely refurbished recently with the desire to preserve the charm of the old, the house has a beautiful fully equipped kitchen, spacious rooms with plenty of storage space offering you all the space and comfort you need for a pleasant stay.
In terms of practicality, everything is done to make your life easier: you have a private parking space in front of the house and access to the cellar with a large space to store ski equipment and/or bicycles, bike racks...

The house has two bedrooms and a living room with the following beds:
- 1 double bed in the master suite
- 2 single beds in the large bedroom upstairs (possibility of adding a travel cot or extra bed)
- 1 sofa bed for 2 people in the living room

The house is particularly well equipped with:
- 1 dishwasher
- 1 fridge/freezer
- 1 oven, 1 microwave
- 2 coffee makers (filter and capsule), kettle, toaster
- many food processors
- 1 "winter" kit: scrap appliance lette + fondue set
- 1 washing machine with drying rack, iron and ironing board
- 1 fan
- reading for young and old
- board games
- 1 first aid kit
- child safety (barrier) upstairs

The village of Cierp-Gaud has an interesting location since it radiates over many poles of attractiveness: you are 15 minutes from Spain, with its typical restaurants and various shops, but also 20 minutes from the spa town of Bagnères de Luchon where you will find many restaurants and shops, a cinema, a casino, a climbing gym, a pony club, and a rack railway at the top of the Col de Peyresourde at the foot of the Superbagnères resort, not to mention the mythical flower festival and the film festival!
Close to four ski resorts for all tastes and budgets: Le Mourtis, Superbagnères, Peyragudes and Bourg d'Oueil. Take your pick!
For thrill seekers: tree climbing park at the entrance to the village, paragliding spots nearby, rafting/canyoning/canoeing on the Garonne less than 3kms away, ball trap and finally Loudenvielle bike park accessible in less than 30 minutes.
And finally, mushroom and hunting forests depending on the season!

Difficult to see and do everything, especially if you are only passing through our hotel... But to make your choices easier, we are talking about a small selection of our local must-sees.
Because in the Val d'Aran, you can hurtle down immense forests on a mountain bike 🚵 ♂️, climb the mountain ⛰️ and hike to lakes with incredible colours, have fun making snowmen in the fresh snow ❄️, feast on gourmet local specialities, climb the mythical passes by bike like the riders of the Tour de France and stroll through the alleys of traditional villages.

Hiking from the Hospice de France
If you want sumptuous and breathtaking 🌬️ scenery, the Hospice de France is an unmissable starting point for several hikes. We suggest the Empress Path to discover a wide variety of landscapes 📸 provided you go on an adventure in summer ☀️ and if everyone is used to walking a little 🥾. You can also put on your hiking boots from the front door of the house, many hiking trails start from the wash house a little further up the street!

Stroll through the medieval village of Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges
For the magic of this village to work 🏘️, all you have to do is stroll through the small streets, enjoy the calm and look up 🙄. You will find traces of history everywhere 📜
Of course, don't leave without visiting the Sainte-Marie cathedral which is the centre of this fortified 🏰 village classified as "Most beautiful village in France" 👍

Snowshoeing to the Pic de l'Escalette
In the winter season, put on your snowshoes from the Col de Menté and set off with your family and in the forest 🌲 to conquer L'Escalette ⛰️. This walk is ideal for learning about snowshoeing in winter ❄️but it is also a magnificent walk to do with the family in summer ☀️

Slip into the only natural hammam in Europe
In the city of Luchon, in the heart of the thermal baths⛲, is the only natural hammam in Europe. It is unthinkable to leave without having tasted this rejuvenating and unique 🤩 experience.

Attend a brandon
When the summer ☀️ solstice arrives, a strange tradition spreads in the villages 🏘️. Around Saint-Jean, the villages light their brandons 🔥 and party all night long 🌙.
Coming straight from the Bronze Age, don't miss the tradition of the brandon, the one in Cierp-Gaud is very festive and welcoming! 😉 .

A small fishing trip in a unique place
Fly fishing, toc or lure fishing, this activity will no longer hold any secrets for you and tourist and introductory fishing routes are even offered in Fos, Saint-Béat, and Marignac. Similarly, a Handipêche pontoon is in Cierp-Gaud on the Rousiet 😉👍lake and the banks of the Pique are at your disposal 200m from the house!
