Bar and grill is excellent, decent selection with the unexpected bonus of a dart board and pool table, although an oche, a fixed board and one table less around the pool table would be good. The rooms are decent value for money, very comfy bed and all you really need albeit a little on the small side in the shower room. Like all such places, the staff can make the difference and the peeps here were fabulous... helpful, chatty, friendly and exactly what you want to find and they made the difference between a Good and an Excellent rating from us.

I was pleasantly surprised that dinner was still being served until 8.45 pm on a Sunday evening which is unusual. I’d had a long day & a long drive so this was a real bonus. Very friendly staff. Continental breakfast - good quality food.

I had both the continental and cooked breakfast during my stay. Both were good, cooked breakfast was fresh and well cooked. Had dinner there one night, options were good and served promptly. I have used the restaurant before but this was my first stay. Room was clean, comfortable bed. Very warm in the room, a fan was available but not very effective. Shower was good. Overall I was comfortable, had a pleasant stay. The accommodation could use some updating.

Ideal place for a short stay in Chorley

I had a very pleasant two night stay. Room was clean and had all the amenities I needed. It was dark (with the curtains closed), quiet and an ideal temperature so I slept well. Great choice at breakfast, served hot. Friendly staff, too!

Everything was great, especially the service from staff, who were very friendly. It’s nice as a solo traveller on business to have someone engage with you and for it to feel sincere. The food was good, so I’ll definitely be back.

Small but adequate room. Very clean, nice bathroom. However the hotel is attached to a pub with great restaurant. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Worth staying just for that.
