Excellent location to explore the city, with many of the attractions within very short walking distance. Two out of three nights we had dinner in the courtyard restaurant. Dinner was excellent with plenty of Kerela seafood options. At 4pm tea/snacks are also served in the courtyard which we would recommend. Staff were excellent and were very attentive to our concerns. The building itself is 400 years old and is very well maintained for its age, however some rooms do need some maintenance. The staff assured us they would take care of this during the off-season." The water was green. They did keep telling me they was waiting to get it fixed. It never happened after a week I rebooked in another location the hotel staff were very nice indeed the building itself is a little rundown. I removed the shower hose myself and took it to reception and told them to replace it as it was covered in black mould. The shower curtains needed to be replaced, the fridge didn’t work at all was actually warm inside but I did replace it with a new one the food there was excellent, but I wouldn’t stay there again."
