Nestled on the owner's farm and made of honey-coloured Cotswold stone, this stunning barn conversion has beautiful oak beams, unrivalled views across the rolling Charlbury countryside and exquisite personal touches that can be found throughout. With original artwork inspired by Fox's surroundings, handcrafted soft furnishings and stylish country décor, the open plan living space with its cosy seating and well-equipped kitchen lends itself for the perfect social setting for all guests. Fox can be booked either on its own, or with Rabbit which sleeps two guests and a child in the adjacent property. Accommodation This two bedroom holiday cottage on the outskirts of Charlbury is perfectly suited for those looking for a break with family or friends, exploring the local countryside and eateries. We needed a quiet short break in a good location to see some highlights of the Cotswolds and Fox was just the ticket. The property is beautifully furnished, with a well equipped kitchen and lovely bath for a long soak, if that's your fancy. The views are completely stunning, and it was so quiet and relaxing we were truly able to switch off from the world. The village of Charlbury is close by and very charming. On recommendation from the visitors guide in the house, we visited Bourton-on-the-Water and Bibury, each about 30 mins drive and beautiful. The property has only recently been converted from what was originally one of the farm outbuildings. The conversion is to a very high standard, very warm and cosy. The interior is very tastefully decorated. The owners were very welcoming and friendly but never intrusive. The property was spotless. The location is ideal for walking and the network of local footpaths is only a few yards away, in fact we didn’t use the car at all during our stay. We had a wonderful stay at Fox cottage. Top marks for cleanliness and extremely comfortable beds. Jennie and Mark were most welcoming and very friendly. The property is on a working farm, my son loved seeing the sheep moved from field to field. The property itself was immaculate and two lovely sized bedrooms. We were provided with a highchair, travel cot, stepping stool and games for the children. It was the perfect base for exploring the Cotswold and The Shed Cafe only 8 minutes in the car was amazing for cakes and takeaway drinks, this was a daily visit! The hosts were super friendly and we even got to see Molly the dog’s new puppies! The welcome basket was a lovely touch, and all of the necessary kitchen amenities were provided. Great hanging space for clothes in the wardrobe with decent hangers. There was outdoor furniture and we even made friends with our lovely neighbours. This modern well-equipped barn conversion is in a beautiful location in the middle of the Cotswold countryside, situated on a working farm overlooking the stunning countryside. It was lovely to view the wildlife through the windows, watching the hares in the fields, and also the local barn owl flying by, we were even treated to a show of Jenny and Mark working with the sheep's along with their sheep dogs.
